Nik looked up, and at the boy’s defiant words, he sped over and gripped the boy by the throat. He didn’t cut off any air or blood, but he did slam him into a nearby bookshelf and break it, books falling to the floor. “You will do as you’re told and not give me any lip about it, Malcolm. Or you’re fired. Am I understood?” He let go and growled, smoothing out his own clothes. “I’m taking full control of distribution of all bloodwine production in Scotland. As you know, we’re second only to Italy. I’m aware that there are private distributors, but I’m taking them. They operate in my country. I’m done letting others profit off of me. Bloodwine will be made exclusively with Faerie blood and the faeries that are donating will be pre-screened by me and will be willing donors. Sit down, Malcolm. We’ll be in here for a while sorting out my country. Get on the phone with every vampire land owner and have them fax over the deeds to every business and home. And I want restriction on turnings. I’d like to control the vampire population in Scotland because they are breeding too fast.”
Before he even had any time to start cursing the hand around his neck was gone and the dragon was left blinking in a half broken book shelf. Malcolm glared as the vampire spoke, rubbing his neck despite the fact that he hadn’t held him with any real amount of force.
“Whoa whoa whoa. Slow down. One thing at a time.” Mal extracted himself from the bookshelf letting the remaining books fall to the floor and crossed his arms as he stared up at his employer. “First let’s start with how much furniture you’re breaking lately.”
The vampire had a temper to rival his own, but even Malcolm found the amount of repair that needed to be done to the suite exorbitant. “What’s got you so on edge Niky? You’re acting a bloody nightmare - even more than usual.”
