âYou just canât trust him Scottâ Stiles exclaimed. Today the pack was having a meeting to discuss the new wolf in town, Theo. Scott was insisting that there was nothing to worry about, but no one was convinced, not even me, Scottâs girlfriend. Being the only two humans in the pack, Stiles and I have been extra precautious lately, especially after Allisonâs death.
âCome on guys, we have to at least give him a chance. Besides, he hasnât done anything wrong or anything remotely suspicious. We canât just label him the bad guy.â At this point Scott pleaded for someone to believe him. Even being a true alpha, Scott would never force anyone in his pack to do anything they didnât want. But at this point, he was desperate.
âYouâre rightâ I said clearly. Audible sighs and grumbles filled the room. âDonât give me that guys. We have always given everyone the benefit of the doubt, thatâs the kind of pack we are. I mean Malia, we believed that you didnât kill your sister, and Liam we figured out how to control your anger. So, until Theo does something to make us believe he is a bad guy, we should give him a chance.â
Once I finished speaking, everyone was letting off a small head nod, and Stiles looked defeated. When I looked over to Scott, his face lit up with a large grin. Although, I still had a bad feeling about Theo, Iâll still give him a chance. Besides, our pack could use another member and he seemed incredibly strong.
As the pack left the McCall house, I stayed behind to spend time with Scott. Once hearing the door close, signifying the last person left, Scott instantly wrapped his arms my waist, and placed a gentle kiss to my lips.
âThank youâ he mumbled while our lips were together.
âYou know Iâll always have your side.â
âYeah, it just sucks that the rest of the pack doesnât trust me right nowâ he said with sadness.
âScott donât worry about it. You know they would follow you no matter what. They just have their guard up after everything that went down earlier this year, thatâs all.â
âOkay, youâre right. I understand.â I flash a cocky grin at his words. âHowâd I get so lucky? Not only are you smart but youâre also sexy as hell.â
A blush crept across my face, as Scott brought our lips together once more. I felt his hands roam all over my body, my hands made their way up to the back of his neck. A laugh escaped my lips as his hand ended up tickling my side. I immediately regretted laughing, because Scott took this as his opportunity to attack my sides which brought me into a laughing fit.
âScooooott stoppppâ I whined through laughs. Instead of stopping, Scott kept going and laughing during the process. âIâŚI canât breathe. I submit, I submit!â
âAlright, alright, I can tell youâve had enoughâ he joked.
âAm I interrupting something?â The voice caught us both off guard as we turned to see Scottâs mom standing there. Scottâs mom was like another mother to me, and she always made me feel welcome.
âHi Miss McCall, how was work?â
âIt was surprisingly uneventful tonight. And (y/n) call me Melissa, Miss McCall always makes me feel oldâ she chuckled. âAre you staying for dinner?â
âOh I canât, I told my parents Iâd eat with them for once. Thank you though.â
âNo problem, tell your parents I said hi.â She gave me a small hug and said her goodbye. Being the gentleman that he is, Scott walked me out to my car. Before he opened my door he placed one more kiss to my lips and temple.
âCall me when youâre done eatingâ he said.
âEhh maybeâ I said sarcastically and gave him a wink as I drove off.
As I pulled up to my house, I see a man standing at my front door. However, I could only see his back so I wasnât too sure who it was. He looked tall and muscular, and perhaps familiar. When I put my car in park I see the man turn around and panic sets in. Theo.
âHey (y/n)â he waved.
âHey Theo, umm what are you doing here?â
âWell I figured since we live on the same street and are in the same chemistry class, we could study together for our exam later this week. And if Iâm being honest, I know youâre one of the smartest in the class and I could really use the help.â
âSure that sounds good, Iâm just about to have dinner with my parents so could you come back over at about 7?â My voice was shaking and I was nervous, but I tried my best to not make it obvious to him.
âThank you so muchâ he exclaimed. âIâll be back by then.â
Dinner with my family was uneventful, and I barely spoke. Instead my mind was focused on Theo coming over later. He seemed like he genuinely needed help, so I shouldnât worry, right? But still there was an uneasy feeling that filled my stomach, and I needed to control it before he came over.
It was 10 minutes to 7, so I grabbed my notes and text book and set up a small space for us to study in the living room. Unfortunately, my parents were leaving to go over to my auntâs house for some drinks since they donât have work tomorrow, which means it will just be me and Theo. I thought about texting Scott, but then he would think that I didnât actually trust him. I could do this, I just have to stay calm and trust that Scott is right.
Iâm brought out of my thoughts when doorbell sounded. I took a deep breath before opening the door, which Iâm sure he could hear, but I couldnât help it. Once I open the door, I see Theo standing there with his book in hand and a large grin on his face.
âThanks again (y/n), my parents would kill me if I got an Fâ he greeted.
âItâs really no problem, just come on in, and we can get started.â I lead the way to the living room and sat down where I left my books. âSo, what would you like to cover first?â
âI figured we could talk about how certain chemicals react to the human bodyâ he stated nonchalantly.
âWhaââ I started but in that moment Theo sprayed my face with something and I became unconscious.
 (Third Person P.O.V.)
Scott laid in his bed as he slowly drifted to sleep. However, he wanted to try and stay up until (y/n) called him. Usually she would have at least sent him a message by now, but there was nothing. He figured she had just been really tired after dinner and went to bed early. Scottâs eyes get heavier and heavier, but shot wide open when he heard his phone ring. When he looked at his phone he was surprised to see (y/n)âs momâs number, maybe her phone broke, he thought.
âHelloâ he answers.
âScott, thank goodness you answered. Is (y/n) with you? She hasnât been answering her phone and her father and I are starting to get worried. If she is with you just tell her we arenât mad for her sneaking out, we just want to make sure sheâs safeâ Mrs. (y/l/n) said with a panicked tone.
âSheâs not at homeâ Scott asked with worry. âIâm sorry but I havenât seen her since she left my house at like 4. I can call Lydia and see if sheâs with her. But (y/n) hasnât answered any of my messages since she left either.â
âOh my goodness, this canât be happening. Could you please call Lydia, and if sheâs not with her then we may have to call Stilesâ dad.â Tears streamed down your momâs eyes and your dad just stood there with a scared expression.
âDonât worry, Iâll take care of it. You guys just stay home, keep all the lights on, and have the phones next to you in case she comes home or calls, okay?â
âThank you Scott, we really appreciate it. Donât hesitate to call if you find anything out.â
Once Scott was done talking to your mom, he first called Lydia, only to find out that she hasnât seen you since the meeting. He then called, Stiles, Liam, and everyone else in the pack, but no one had seen you. The entire pack gathered at Scottâs house and came up with a plan to find you.
 (YOUR POV)
My eyes felt heavy and my head was pounding. Shivers traveled my body as I tried to regain consciousness. However, when I attempted to sit up, I realized that I am stuck in place and canât move. Panic sets in and I instantly started trying to free my arms and legs.
âYa know, it probably easier if you just laid stillâ the familiar voice stated. When I turned my head into the direction of the voice, my eyes met Theoâs. A smirk covered his face, as if he had just won a prize.
âWhat the hell are you doingâ I yelled at him.
âWell, I suppose since youâre going to die, I can just tell you my plans anywaysâ he said calmly. âApparently the Dread Doctors are very interested in your blood. I donât really know why, maybe they just want you dead to get at Scott, but I have to follow my bossesâ orders. But donât worry, it will only hurt for a second.â
Theo walked closer to me, meanwhile tears flowed down my cheeks. I was alone and afraid. I hated being the damsel in distress, but at least they usually get saved. However, my hope had faded and I had to prepare to face death by myself.
His claws appeared while my heart raced. Theo lightly brushed his claws against my abdomen, and a devilish grin covered his face. With one swift motion, I felt my skin get punctured and my breaths get heavy. My eyes fluttered all the while I drifted in and out of consciousness. My final moments were approaching, my eyes werenât strong enough to stay open, but I tried holding on as long as I could. With my final breaths, I swear I heard yelling and fighting, but had little time to comprehend before I drifted awayâŚ
My eyes were still closed and my body still sore. Do people still feel pain when they die, or am I in hell in which I will feel eternal pain. A groan left my lips and I swear I heard hushed voices.
â(Y/n)â a soft voice that sounded similar to Melissa said. â(Y/n) can you open your eyes?â
I did as I was told, only to see bright lights on the ceiling. When I turned my head away from the lights, I saw a crowd of familiar people standing beside me.
âWha--- What are you guys doing hereâ I stuttered. âPlease tell me you didnât die trying to save me.â
âNo, weâre fine, everyone is fine. Including youâ Lydia cooed.
âBut how am I still aliveâ I questioned. I looked around the room, and saw worried expressions, however the one face I didnât see was Scott. Everyone exchanged glances with one another and sent me looks of pity. âWhere is Scott.â
âIâll go get him. Weâll all give you two some time aloneâ Stiles mentioned. As the pack exited the room, I was given soft hugs and I swear I could all hear their heart rates beating rapidly.
âThank god youâre okayâ Scott greeted.
âBut how am I okay? I literally felt Theo push his claws into me and watched blood pour out. How am I not deadâ I choked out the last words. Scottâs face was filled with worry, he tried finding words to say but nothing was coming out. This time, however, I was sure I could hear his heart racing and smell the anxiousness on him. âScottâŚâ
âBaby, Iâm so sorry, but I didnât have any other choiceâ he pleaded.
âWhat the hell Scott! You know what I always said, that if it ever got to the point, I didnât want the bite. How could you do this!â
âPlease (y/n) you have to understand, I had no other choice. You were dying in my arms and were holding on for dear life. I just⌠I couldnât lose you.â
âBut donât you see that by giving me the bite, you did lose me. You completely lost all of my trust. First with Theo and now with the bite. I canât believe youâ my voice was filled with anger. I didnât dare look at Scott, nonetheless, I could smell the tears that dripped down his cheeks.
âPlease, you can trust me. Iâm so sorry I was wrong about Theo, I should have listened to all of you, but he seemed normal. From now on Iâll be more careful when trusting new people. But you have to understand that the bite is not a bad thing. Sure it has its rough moments, and your first full moons will suck, but Iâll be with you every step of the way.â As he spoke he lightly grabbed my hand. Part of me wanted to retract my hand, but for some reason I couldnât bring myself to do it.
âTell me that you donât love me and you donât want to be with me, and then Iâll leave you aloneâ Scott said in a hushed tone.
âI just donât know what to think. Of course I love you, but I just feel so confused and betrayed. I feel like I cheated death, and itâs just not fair.â
âBut you didnât even deserve to die in the first place. Your mom told me you were having Theo over to study and then he must have attacked you. So nowhere in that time frame did you deserve to die, you were just trying to give him a chance and help him out, and itâs all my fault. I honestly canât express how sorry I am.â
A silence fell in the room, neither of us sure what to say next. Both of our heart rates raced with worry and fear. I didnât want our relationship to be over, but I also wasnât ready to be a werewolf. How would I tell my parents, would they even believe me? My mind wandered through millions of concerns that my new life would bring about.
âI love you.â His voice was so soft, but because of my new sense of hearing, I was able to fully understand what Scott just said.
âI love you too Scott. I shouldnât have freaked out like I did, Iâm just scaredâ I admitted.
âItâs okay, itâs natural to be scared but remember you have a whole pack and me by your sideâ he said as he placed a soft kiss to my lips. âThe only we have to worry about is you hopefully not killing me or your parents on your first full moon.â
