Remus squeezed his eyes shut, knowing that Sirius didn’t have a choice anymore and tried to keep his tears at bay.

“I know,” Remus sighed, stepping closer to Sirius to hug him. “I just wish it didn’t have to be this.”

Sirius’ embrace was everything and Remus didn’t want to let go of him until he finally opened his eyes and realized that Sirius was no longer there.

I know, that might sound like some pretentious bullcrap, but it’s the truth. I really am so, so happy for you. But every time I think of you, and it all, it’s like this knife is twisted in my gut, and I feel like crying. And lord oh mighty, I just wished I could have what you have. The smiles, the happiness and confidence. Friendship, talents.Be loved, and just so appreciated. So accepted.
