Port-Fynaven l'Ancienne

A video I did to showcase my Space Rover design (the yellow thing with wheels) the rover does not have a better name yet... probably needs something cool sounding (or cringe worthy) like Land Stalker or Wheel Spinner 3000 (because if you add a 3000 to anything that sounds more futuristic, right? trust me, I`m a sci-fi artist, I know)... anyway... I`ll think about it later . Had to make an environment and add some props here and there + tiny little astronauts walking around for the sense of scale.

Sorry for the poor quality, scene is done and rendered in blender back in the day then I thought that my old veteran pc can handle good quality animated renders straight out of blender and that it will not take FOREVER to complete the rendering… Guess what, I was wrong, so for the thing to render in at least in some barely watchable way I had to drastically reduce the resolution and sample count, so yeah the final result is far away from good quality…😩

So… What did I learned back then? I learned that next time then I will want to render a heavy geometry animated scene in good quality I will have three options: 1) upgrade my veteran pc 2) if not - leave the thing to render over night hoping my veteran will not die during the process while setting my home on fire while I sleep 3) export and render the entire scene in Unreal engine 🤔 so yeah, as they say… The more you know 💫

The final video is 15 seconds shorter then the intended first version. Somehow I decided that maybe these extra 15 seconds do not look that interesting or decent so I cut them away. First uncut video has different music (some royalty free cinematic sounding track) later I replaced it with synth-wave. Because synth-wave always sound better with Wheel Spinner 3000 😅I probably post the first video as well.

And here is a shot from these extra 15 seconds that I have cut out from the final version, there was more flying around over rocks that served as an extended intro to this video...

I thought that not every person have a sick love for rocks as I do so I decided to cut that out and make video shorter 😅
