After we had so much fun the first time around with episode 7, @mypheralside and I decided to try ourselves with another one

I know it’s all serious and business – ZHAN YAO GOT ATTACKED?! :O – but it looks so funny how Bai Yutong is running down there because “Noooo, my hubby got hurt!” and it just looks like the perfect opportunity for the Billy Hill Theme (especially when you look at the gif. Try it! I guarantee it’s hilarious!)

side note: Bai Yutong having enough momentum to “run into” another man without really slowing down that much and then he just freezes what seems like a meter away from the car. 

I love how openly worried Bai Yutong is for Zhan Yao, up until the moment he realizes that he’s almost fine. You can practically see him putting his mask of indifference back on. And riight into scolding mode. (Zhan Yao doesn’t even look at Bai Yutong. He’s avoiding that confrontation like a little kid)

okay, how good are Bai Yutong’s eyes please?! seeing the blood stains AND the bullet from there? did he get some bionical implants or what?! I envy you, mister!

also @mypheralside ‘s commentary for this particular gif: Uhhhh Bai Yutong where do you think he took those from...? - seriously where what did you think?! :D First I thought maybe he’d check if Zhan Yao really is fine (no cuts? no bleedings? is he okay??) but lets be honest... Bai Yutong’s brain is still on panic mode and for a second he believes Zhan Yao to be a magician. making spyglasses appear from thin air :D (love, there’s a car right behind you. I know Zhan Yao is magic, but not to that amount!)

Zhan Yao’s thoughts: “I LOOK AWAY FOR TWO SECONDS AND YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING STUPID?!” (doesn’t Bai Yutong know only cats land on their feet? not mice?!) which... Zhan Yao you have no right to say anything against taking risks, mister I go into the room the killer probably wants to go to, too, all on my own despite there being police officers all around... not shown here but great: Bai Yutong putting red paint on Zhan Yao’s glove. because. I like

THIS SEQUENCE as a whole is amazing first the “Your hand is just hurt! you can’t put stress on it!”(I’m all here for worried Bai Yutong!)  And then Zhan Yao’s like “It is fine, just climbing up ladders” before he promptly looses balance and falls against Bai Yutong - who of course catches him. and Zhan Yao’s pissed. because he took an unnecessary risk (a stupid risk even) and got hurt and still feels the dizziness and pain and drives him wild. Himself knowing that would make him mad on its own, but Bai Yutong first scolding him, belittling him and now being honestly nice and caring - too much for that little ego of his. (no mercy)

BY: “Hey, I am trying to be nice!” You tell him Bai Yutong! “I know” followed by some childish excuse. Zhan Yao. stop it. ( love how Bai Yutong sees through it though)

that’s what I call a true middle name! that poor mouse! look at his face. ( I know he’s just putting together all the clues - no red, mhh but who is it?- but lets be honest. he’s just sad nobody appreciates his magical paws)

also appreciated should be how timid Zhan Yao holds himself. he’s in the back the whole time. Even when Bai Yutong is about to overstep he’s so held back.

Car fights are the best fights ♥ Bai Yutong sharing his observations and Zhan Yao trying to debunk it by showing how Bai Yutong is biased, trying to frame the professors for the murder. But sadly the only thing he does manage is to show how biased he is, trying to defend them. what can you say. And you know the best part?! they both see through the other! Not only that! They call it out and it’s so beautiful?! For two people that never seem to see eye to eye and are constantly belittling the other one’s profession, they still come to see the other one as equal (would they call it that? NOPE. but I will.)

also, can we talk about how petty they both are? the moment Zhan Yao accuses Bai Yutong on making false convictions, Bai Yutong pulls over, hitting the breaks way too harsh - which, as we all know, is something Zhan Yao HATES and it shows on his face. That eye roll? he recognizes this as Bai Yutong being petty. More calling out.

Watching the scene a few times, I can’t fight the feeling that all of Bai Yutong’s anger towards those professors stems from the way they treated Zhan Yao before. You disrespect his cat? You better prepare for lifelong hatress thrown into your general direction! So better beware!

I HATE YOU FOR THIS, ZHAN YAO! I call it now and have before: Zhan Yao has Potential for evil, okay? But not because he’s as smart if not smarter than our big bad NO! maybe, because of the way he talks that one killer training camp trainee into making a mistake? NO! good entry, but no. NO HE’S GOT THE POTENTIAL BECAUSE HE DOES THIS TO JIANG PING (And consequently makes me watch it. because. rude. I hate this. I hate all of you. don’t do this. I can’t even enjoy how good he looks because it’s so a-w-k-w-a-r-d. I hate this.)

THAT POOR GIRL! Okay this takes it home, for me. Bai Yutong is like ‘BLUE STEEL’ I was born a model! and Zhan Yoa.. tries. Gosh. he’s having way too much fun with this. I don’t trust you, mister. thin ice. thin ice.

I love this gif. I hate what they did here, but I love what it gives us. Still though if I could, I would slap both of their pretty faces.

and I guess, here there’s that one scene in the office missing in my show?because I’ve never found out why she’s crying? is the ‘seduction-scene’? at least both of them are ridiculous and akward. you earned that for yourself! the silent face convo though? HERE FOR THAT! and they are so in-sync... how? this is episode 3?!

just asking for better understanding: “If I can’t get married in the future, you guys have to take the responsibilities” is she implying that of the two most married-yet-not-actually-married persons have to marry her? because... :D Jiang Ping, I love you! and Bai Yutong, didn’t your mother teach you flies will live in your mouth if you keep it hanging this open, mh?

again. the mouth? rude. BAI YUTONG’S FACE IS EVERYTHING AND ZHAN YAO IS A LITTLE SHIT “Ah, yes! an enormous staple of information. the only logical thing he’d like me to do is make it tidier. sure thing sure thing.”

look how fast he’s out of there (the gif makes it even look like he’s flying haha) but Bai Yutong is much faster in the end hehe

ah! there it is! THE SLOW MO THAT KILLED ME you could literally do a whole gifset with commentary for that whole sequence because ... oh lord. The fear on their faces when they realize the big sister got angered! and Bai Yutong won’t die alone, nope! Not if he can help it. lets appreaciate how Bai Yutong is runnign WITH A PURPOSE and Zhan Yao... Zhan Yao looks like he just got his body (back). What is that? are you a fawn? anybody else thinking bambi here?

5 minutes in the serious and the whole office is already shivering in fear of Bai Qingtang. The whole office? no! one little genius is unafraid. the others however. Well, look at them yourself. That’s the look of a man, that knows he’s about to die. And the look of one man, who is relieved it won’t be him.

I just wonder how Zhan Yao convinced Bai Yutong to go on his own? Bai Yutong is not even putting up a fight anymore and the handcuffs are gone too. Any ideas?

Zhan Yao? That’s not how you encourage a man you know who is on his way to slaughter! Especially not YOUR man!

A man’s gotta keep his pride. somehow. well. I guess.

Zhan Yao knows he deserves it, you can see it on his face. Bai Yutong is so petty I love it!
