Magia -arrange ver.-
Hannibal was light on his feet as he landed by Will's side, conjuring syringes filled with swirling light and air and color and launching them at the Witch as it drew its bow across its open throat, vibrations shaking the labyrinth to its core. Mischa was weightless, an extension of himself, as she moved gracefully through the air, trails of frost following her almost transparent form like contrails.
How funny that Will had never questioned how Hannibal had come to have a "minion" of his own to match the trombone-headed creatures that harassed them on their way to the center of the labyrinth.
"Easy, Will," Hannibal warned as the puer magi nearly crossed the path of one of the wires the Witch was sending flying. Will nodded, ducking in closer to his partner and slipping pistols from his sleeves, unloading them into the Witch. Bullet after bullet seemed to bounce off it until one hit its ear, a low groan emanating from the creature as odd flat roses blossomed from the injury.
"Its ears - sound. Of course!" Will jumped along the wires to better position himself, dropping the empty pistols to the ground and replacing them, his Soul Gem dim and dark on the back of his neck.
"You're the strongest Witch I've ever seen on this planet." The Incubator had said solemnly, perched on Hannibal's shoulder. "Maintaining this body is a waste of an incredible amount of energy."
"Will Graham will be even stronger, when his metamorphosis is complete." Hannibal replied, twirling the Grief Seed that was once his soul between his fingers. "I will abandon the glamour after that, Incubator. Do with me what you will then."
Hannibal smiled as he stepped over Franklyn's lifeless body, shards of his shattered Soul Gem catching the light so they glimmered just so.
There wasn't much longer to go now.
