Let me give the backstory first… My beautiful wife always says that I’m so hard to buy for, as in Xmas and bday gifts. I tell her it’s easy another #wvumountaineer shirt, hat, etc. She says that gets old bc it’s regularly the same thing over and over again. So she knows my second love right behind her is BBQ, so she always buys me BBQ items. Let me say that I never open the BBQ items bc I’m set in my old ways and content. Well yesterday evening, we had my son’s soccer team dinner before their playoff game tonight and I had 20 pounds of pork butt to shred. I finally broke down and opened these “tools from heaven”. They are amazing and I don’t know why I didn’t open them years ago. They saved my ass; eventhough, it still took about 40 mins to shred all that delicious meat. I want to send a shout out to my beautiful wife, Guinevere, for getting them for me and putting up with my senseless bullshit daily. I love you with everything I have babe!! We have this week’s Pieper Varsity Soccer Team dinner tomorrow before the 1st Round 5A UIL Playoff game against Glenn High on Friday night. I asked Beni what he wanted and he mentioned my brisket first but changed his mind to my Pork Butt. And of course he requested my world-famous Mac-n-Cheese and Corn. So you know me…I go all-out. 20+ pounds of Pork Butt is on the menu for 25 young men.
