I was cutting up a pair of cargo pants for a sewing project when I found this striped fabric lining the pockets, and it reminded me of Addy’s school satchel. So I made it into a little satchel for her to carry her school supplies! It looks great with her blue skirt and jacket. I also made a bag for Rebecca, because the fabric looks very old-timey and patriotic with its red and blue stripes. There’s a front pocket to carry her pen and pencil. Rebecca never got a textbook in her collection, but Samantha did! The cover of Rebecca’s book is a printout of Samantha’s textbook cover, a smaller version of a real book called The Baldwin Primer.
