For the fic writer ask game... 7, 10, 23, and 67!
thanks!
7: How do you choose which POV to write from?
lmao it's almost never an active choice. generally, the start of a fic just. comes out with a pov already attached. me looking at a couple wips like "okay why are you in first person, while you are in third person? both the books you guys are from are in first person!" but that's how they want to be written. yes, that does include the few things i've written in second person
sometimes i'll make an active choice for which tense something is in though! there's a wip that's specifically in present tense because the horror hits harder that way and that's how it opens uwu
10: Cltr+f "blinks" on your WIP & copy paste the first sentence/paragraph that comes up
trying to find that word in present tense did uh. not happen lmao. i found it in past tense in three docs, and the only ones where it appeared in unposted bits were with Demyx lmao
Demyx stopped and blinked in surprise. "I shower!"
23: Best writing advice for other writers?
??????? ????????????????????
i don't know what the fuck i'm doing half the time tbh. i just kinda. go for it, whenever motivation strikes
or that fucking "write three sentences" post crosses my dash (affectionate). which is harder rn because i'm still avoiding the main part of my dash to avoid potential spoilers for a thing i haven't beaten yet that i'm not gonna name so this doesn't show up when people try to find stuff about that lmao
67: Do you prefer prompts and challenges, or completely independent ideas?
did you send this in for the meme lmao
i adore the idea of prompts, and do occasionally write stuff for them, but i'm generally more likely to write something if it's an original idea. though uh *looks at that wild crossover that's currently sitting around 9k when none of their other fics come close to that length* silly prompts by friends that they don't have time for can be a hell of a thing
