I mean, Haru was the one who inspired Rei to actually join the swim club. Rei has been noticing Haruās mood ever since. Rei has always done whatever he can to understand Haru and help Haru stay free. And no one try to tell me that Haru doesnāt reciprocate, because seriously? Did you watch episode 3 ofĀ Eternal Summer?
Maybe itās because Iām a multishipper, but I donāt understand how people can see Rin admiring Haru and be like āOh, yeah, so in loveā and then see Rei doing theĀ exact same thingĀ but completely dismiss it? (That honestly goes forĀ any of the rare ships, though, because so many people who ship the big ships just dismiss actions/scenes between other characters as nothing more than friendship when they would say anything similar is complete love with their otp.)
HaruRei is very important. I rewatched season 1 with my schoolās anime club and I was just blown away becauseĀ how do more people not notice how much they care about each other?Ā Even if itās canonically friendship, thatās the basis for so many ships in fandoms. (You know, like the popular ships inĀ Free! which are all canonically only friendships.)
