        🕷Layla had her moments and in the middle of that heated battle of the best there wasn’t one person that really had their head on straight. She was lucky to get out of there alive not that her father would let her parish. At least he tried to clean up the mess he made but it left premiant scars on the spiders body. She didn’t hide them though but at least they had healed nicely thanks to the medicine and extra ‘doctor’ when at Amazon Lily. 

            The blunt affirmation wasn’t lost on her. It wasn’t like one pirate could straight up trust another. There was also the matter that her own Captain tried to pick a fight with her late Captain. Rest his soul. 

            “You think I'm in the business of trust? I think we both know exactly where my crew draws the line in the sand. Literally.” Layla couldn’t help but laugh at her own little joke before shaking her head. Her jewelry as loud and bold as she was.

         For  a  moment,  he  doesn’t  speak,  merely  gives  her  room  to  provide  or  not  —  whatever  answer  she  feels  comfortable  sharing  to  his  query,  yet  despite  how  brief  the  explanation  is,  Marco  can  still  easily  relate  to  his  younger  sister’s  feelings.  

         There’s  understanding  in  ocean  hues;  having  spent  over  three  decades  fighting  upon  the  seas,  staying  still  now  has  not  been  easy,  and  he  assumes  it  is  only  more  difficult  for  someone  as  young  and  full  of  fire  as  Akane.  

         She  asks  him  to  forget  he  heard  that  but  when  has  the  older  brother  ever  been  adept  at  dismissing  his  family’s  feelings?

         He  has  always  been  good  at  keeping  composure  but  letting  go  of  family  is  the  most  difficult  thing  for  the  phoenix,  however  something  he’s  been  having  to  do  plenty  of  as  of  late  as  he  doesn’t  wish  to  hold  any  of  them  back  here  with  him.

Chopper had no idea what to make of this question, though for some reason it just rubbed him the wrong way. The reindeer crossed his arms over his chest and grumbled, almost wanting to point out that he wasn't Zoro. It only just sunk in that the person asking him this wasn't a member of his own crew, so that reply wouldn't have made sense.

Dear Maura,

You have no idea how happy a man you make me. I cannot believe today marks our 5th year together. When I met you, we were both so young and helplessly in love- and we still are to this day. You and I argue a lot about what’s politically correct and you make me a better man every day, but I know we won’t always be able to see eye to eye. I have a sinking feeling in my chest, sometimes, when I look at you.

Today’s our anniversary, and you prevented me from killing the man who tried to steal-and-run with your purse. I can’t say I’m too happy with that, but when you told me not to ‘ruin our day’, I knew instantly what you meant, which is why I only broke an arm and a leg, and sent him flying toward the marines. I don’t know why you weren’t happy, but it didn’t last. You started smiling again, and I swear, I completely forgot about everything that happened.

You’re stingy, you’re a pacifist, you’re not sure about a lot of things about me, but I can feel the love in your eyes. I’ve never seen a woman looking at me like how you look at me.

You see me. And there’s no one else I’d like to see me the way you do.

I still don’t understand why I keep you around with our constant bickering and your pacifist ideals. Your ideas of rebellion and sticking it to the government are not what I’m looking for, and you know it. The crown is what I aspire to get, governments and plebs alike be damned. You said you would follow me but sometimes-

You’re sleeping right now. Soundly, beautifully. A wild strand of curly black hair’s falling on your cheek and I have to restrain myself with all my might not to move it away and kiss you. Sometimes, I surprise myself thinking I would give everything to be with you forever. You’re perfect, and you’re dangerous. 

      Loki was tired and dehydrated. And now what was happening? Some stupid brat was holding out the water and not allowing them to have even a single drop. They were just about to take matters into their own hands when they heard a voice coming from the side. They turned to look with their remaining eye to see who it was...Nobody important to their knowledge. And yet with the attention, they simply sighed and waited. It seemed the townsman didn’t like the extra pair of eyes and finally let go, walking off. 

      The shook their head and pinched the bridge of their nose before moving to refill their canteen, taking a large gulp of water then resuming in filling it to the top. They had a few...One refill of their stock was enough for a while, till they had time to get back to Urumalu. There, it was no need to worry with nobody else living in those ruins. And yet here..?
