Location: Training Grounds
Luckily enough a small fascination in medieval weaponry when he was younger meant, swinging a halberd was actually something that was quite normal to him. He preferred polearms, they gave you reach and felt right in his palms. The weight of the head of the weapon swinging through the air as he practiced making use of it, the length of the pole was perhaps a bit long for his particular body but he could fix that later. The motions weren't swift or even well practiced, as he was an academic first and foremost and had only learned enough to do a demonstration for the course. Still his stance and his grip were perfection, the fundamentals of the weapon were flawless in his hands.
With a rather loud thwack, he winced as he buried the blade deep in a training dummy and it had become lodged. "I ah um. Shit." he muttered as he pulled on the end of the weapon trying to get it out. Tugging with his full weight he only ended up on his ass, his halberd still in the dummy. Looking up he saw a figure coming closer. "Can you help me? Please?"

With a new sense of self rushing through him, Victor began to make his way out of the temple and towards the building that he had been instructed was where he'd be living while at the camp. A place to call his own... It was definitely something that he wasn't used to. For the past couple of years, the closest he had to a place of his own was a shoddy motel room - and even then, he didn't stay at one for longer than a month or two, always moving to keep his enemies from catching up to him... Hell, even when he lived with his father, his room was essentially a broom closet and he received hand-me-downs from his elder half-brother. Things were never his own.
And now he had a place of his own.
Or, at least, a place that he could stay and not have to worry that anyone is coming after him - because as he stepped inside of the cabin, he could tell... He was not the only occupant. And that meant he had another sibling, this time one that shared the same divine parent that he did. This was... interesting. He may have had some siblings thanks to his father, but that didn't mean that he was experienced in dealing with them - his half-siblings treated him more like he was their father's employee rather than his son - so he couldn't help but wonder... what would this new sibling be like?
Eyes roamed across the interior of the cabin, trying to get a sense of what this new sibling was like - and whether or not they'd have anything in common - when, suddenly, he heard a noise and he looked up to see the man in question. Immediately, his gaze roamed over the other's features, wondering if there were any similarities between he and this half-sibling, before he let his gaze shift back to his face.
"I'm Victor."

having friends was new for lochlan, he tended to be alone for most of his life until he accepted the call and came to camp. there he made plenty of connections and people seemed to like how authentic and earnest the child of poseidon was. and then they started to leave, making lochy realize how easily attached he got to people once he opened up some.
cian was one of the demigods still at camp who he had befriended, the two of them sat alone by the lake and there were plenty of times when they didn't speak. but that was okay, he was never good with his words. the company was more than enough.
“stay a little longer… i don’t want to be alone yet.”
that isolation he had been so accustomed to, what was once numb, now felt like a thousand cuts.
"please?"

The city of Athens was in ruins, smoke rising from the desecrated buildings, but the city was safe from the demons that had terrorized them. Chest heaving, blood dripping from his sword, Victor had helped ushered the last of the civilians towards one of the medical tents that had been set up when word of what had transpired came to him. He knew that Elian had passed, that he had died protecting the others and ensuring their success, but it wasn't until the chaos was over that he heard that he nearly lost Cian, too.
Once the civilians were safe and being observed by the medics, Victor hurried to where the other demigods were situated to find his brother and the moment that his eyes fell upon him, he quickly rushed to his side. Wordlessly, arms moved to wrap around the other's slender frame, eyes closing as he buried his face into Cian's neck.
How many times had he nearly lost Cian, the brother that had been of a brother to him in the last couple of months than the siblings he had been raised alongside for years? How would he have gone on if both of the people that he had come closest to in the past few months had died within the span of minutes of one another? His heartsong ached, both for the loss of the demi and the loss of a friend, but it swelled seeing that Cian was safe.
"I'm glad I didn't lose you, too."

Ever since the vivid dream he had, one in which he had heard Cian's cry of anguish as his "father" attempted to make him choose which of his friends to die first, Victor had been working hard to not only better himself, but everyone around him. His days may have still included training and training, but instead of it being mostly on himself, it was now a culmination of training himself, coaching others, and fighting alongside others to see how their abilities could work with one another. It felt good, getting into a rhythm, becoming the kind of man that some of the other campers looked towards for guidance when it came to how to wield their blade, and he truly felt like he was coming into his own while there.
There was just one person that Victor wanted to impress, that he wanted to prove that he could be a good man for... and it wasn't the mother that they shared. Cian was someone good, obviously so, and he was an inspiration for the former assassin. To the point where Victor wanted to be more like him, to be someone that people could rely on and believe in - just as they seemed to believe in Cian.
"I feel like we haven't spoken much," Victor stated as they sat at the table in their cabin, sharing a meal like they did many times. "I mean, really spoken." The last time they talked, they both had heard from their mother - and it was her words of be the man you want to be had stayed within him. "How are you doing? Really?"
