Green light filled the area, echoed screams rattled through the empty streets. A hooded figure emerged, running, from another, looking back every so often to check whether they were being followed. A shot of red light zipped past the figures head, barely missing her. With a manic cackle, she turned to face the man running towards her "Avada Kedavra!" she shouted, the females voice carrying itself towards the man in the path of the green light. It his hit him square in the chest, sending him flying backwards into a wall. A proud smile crossed the face of the hooded woman, as she turned and continued to run. Bright white lights were now descending from the sky, "Aurors..." she snarled, now was the perfect opportunity. She ran down a narrow street, placing her back against the wall.
Pulling her hood back, she revealed dark mahogany curls, deep blue eyes that might as well have been black, a once beautiful face now black and blue on one cheek, with a scar running from just below her button nose, across both lips and ending just before chin. The bright light illuminated the small town, witches and wizards of all shapes and sizes emerging from said light, hunting for the murderer. "What happened here?" one of them asked, glancing over at the man who was slumped against a wall, Sapphire let out a quiet laugh, clasping her wand firmly in her hand. She peeked about the corner, glancing at each one before a young female spotted her. "There!" she screamed, the horde of Aurors beginning to run in Sapphire's direction, aiming spells at her. Sapphire cackled and began to run, wanting a chase before finally apparating away in a cloud of black smoke.
After a few moments of genuinely believing she was floating through the night sky, enveloped within wisps of blackened smoke, Sapphire came back to reality with a bump; a book which had been laying on her lap, fell to the stoney floor with a dull thud, knocking her out of her day dream. Straightening herself up in the seat in which she was placed, her oceanic orbs scanned her surroundings. Had she spoken out during her rather vivid dream? No other student seemed to be staring, so she took this as a sign that she had reamined pretty much silent during her nap. Chuckling to herself, she leant forward, picking up the book and placing it down on the window sill beside her. Tilting her head upwards, Sapphire caught sight of the time - the large clock floating in the ceiling of the library, a bright white face staring at her. "Crap.." she muttered, quickly grabbing the book and thrusting it into her satchel.
Sapphire ran all the way from the library, down to the dungeons. Luckily, Sapphire knew the way pretty well - the Slytherin common room was in the dungeons. As she got there, a bunch of Slytherin girls dragged Sapphire into a hug. Her friends meant everything to her, they were important. The Potions classroom door swung open, creaking loudly. From within the shadows came the figure of Severus Snape. Sapphire's nose curled up - she despised this teacher. Although he was Head of Slytherin house, he had had it in for her since day one - clearly because of her mother, Alecto. NEWTs were not going to be a walk in the park if this man had anything to do with it.
