Noctis pouted and nuzzled his face into her hair instead of releasing her. She may struggle, but he knew she liked hugs. He heaved a sigh at her words though, knowing they were basically true. “I have to marry Luna to gain peace with Niflheim.”
Aeisla had heard loads about her little brother’s best friend over the years, but she hadn’t yet had the honor of meeting him. Her schedule differed greatly from Noctis’ after all. The only time she really got to see him was at breakfast or dinner if he decided to join their father and herself. Or when one or the other of them snuck into the other’s room at night for video games, or just to talk.
So she’d heard that poor Prompto was being shoved into Crownsguard training in preparation of going with Noctis, Gladiolus, and Ignis to Altissia. She hadn’t expected to see him at all until the day they left, as she’d made it her goal to tell her little brother goodbye before he could disappear.
However, as she headed for the Glaives training grounds, she was surprised to see the well described blonde head on the platform. It seemed he was being instructed in the various stretches the Glaive did before a workout. She walked up the steps to join him and several other Glaives, going through the stretches, simply watching him for a bit.
She shot Pelna a glace, the current workout instructor, wondering why Prompto was there. The man grinned at her, “Princess, perfect. You can face off with the young Argentum. You and Nyx are about the only ones here that can deflect bullets consistently.”
Aeisla straightened quickly, shock on her face, “You want me to let him shoot at me? But Noct says he’s a perfect shot!”
