One good thing about this trip... I asked to go to my Great Gran's old house. Haven't been there for twenty years. I hate to see it having gone to hell like this. My earliest summers were spent here. No electricity, no indoor plumbing. Cold water we had to heat up in pots on the stove to take baths in an old tin tub we'd put in the middle of the kitchen. An outhouse we were too afraid to go to in the middle of the night, so we would use what they old folks call a "thunder bucket". Which is just an old 5 gallon bucket you'd pee in during the night and dump out in the morning. Lmao.
Apparently the home was over 200 years old. She paid 20 dollars a month to stay there. The home was traced back to the Lincoln's family and was a safe house for soliders during the Civil War. They are in the process of trying to make it a historical home, but from what I see, they waited way too long. I don't necessary "agree" with all of its history, but it is interesting anyways. I still remember it so vividly. My Great Gran was the sweetest woman. I miss her a lot. I feel worlds away from this lifestyle, but I feel so privileged to have had such experiences that made me appreciate the comforts in life.
can you please tell me the other ways to use xe/xem? (ex. i don't know how to say the possessives like his, himself) because i've seen some different ways they do the possessive versions and i want to know which one you use/prefer so i can make sure to use that one

basically xe would be like using "he" or "she" in a sentence
for ex: He went to the store - Xe went to the store
using xem is just like using "him" or "her"
ex: I hugged him - I hugged xem
xyr is like using "her" or "him" but instead of using it like before, it is a possessive adjective
ex: This hat belongs to him - That hat belongs to xyr
xyrs is like using "hers" or "his", which is a possessive pronoun
ex: The last cookie was his - The last cookie was xyrs
and xemself is using "herself" or "himself"
ex: He loves himself - Xe loves xemself

3). But you manage to brighten my day before I even realise it needed brightening in the first place and that is a feat reserved to only few. Never change, okay? You have a heart made out of gold, with aspirations and goals in life that live up to that in every detail, and that's something the world needs so much more of. I truly wish you the happiest of birthdays, that it's filled with all good things in this world (chocolate especially!), because you deserve absolutely no less.
