1st Idea - Advanced Health Directives
Too many people just assume that someone will make the right decisions for them in their time of need. But during a crisis situation or a situation when the prognosis of someones life is hanging in the balance those decision are fraught with regret, guilt, angst and overwhelming emotion.
During my time working in the Emergency Department and within the health setting what I have noticed is so many people are not aware of the poor outcomes that present with lifesaving measures. Depending on your age, comorbidities and frailty will ultimately change how well you will live after an adverse event.
My goal is to create an educational tool to get the information out there to the community. So the importance is recognised and whilst people are of sound mind and have the capacity to make decisions for themselves they are informed and educated about those choices.
