my reaction 11x21 (spoilers ahead)
Metatron’s sacrifice was really predictable. But still, thanks for doing it, you are redeemed in my eyes! Wouldn’t it have helped to tell him that “yeah hand of God didn’t work even when Luci tried it” -- you would think a spell from an angel still wouldn’t do it.
Even though he is pretty douchey, I still love Chuck. His meeting of Donatello was a cool scene. “Sorry about your cat.” I would hope God would say that to a human who just lost their kitty.
Dean in this ep was just glorious. Crying when he was talking to Chuck....I just wanted to give him snuggles and kiss his tears away. Sam was too busy fangirling over God. (Though it is characteristic of him....I think despite the struggles he has been through he has really come to be at peace with everything.)
Can Amara be more clueless? She should have known it was a trap.
I do miss Cas. like MAJORLY. I think Amara has knocked Luci down a few pegs (and the Chuck/Lucifer dynamic was an interesting scene, I didn’t expect any Chuck/Gadreel moments like from that con between Rob and Tamioh...). He may play ball with whatever Chuck’s plan to defeat his sis is. Glad that Dean talked him out of just outright sacrificing himself and the universe.
It will be interesting to see how the angels/demons work together.
But still... GIMME BACK MY CAS! I will be SO pissed if in the finale all we are given is Lucifer gone and Misha as Cas saying “Hello Dean.” (that would be more of a killer cliffhanger than anything and would make Hellatus even more hellacious. I would have to start writing Destiel fanfic.) I want some tears, or at least some words exchanged. Between Chuck/Cas (if Chuck is still around) and Cas/Dean/Sam. I need like “Dean covering Cas in a blanket” times A BILLION. This is the time for a quote unquote “chick flick moment.” Cas has been through some shit. He deserves to know he is loved, CHUCKDAMMIT. I know a “sorry” won’t fix everything and that Cas is going to be majorly fucked up from all this, but I want some REAL EMOTION. Don’t let me down, Supernatural.
