The Old Firehouse Teen Center in Redmond, WA is being shut down, programming moved to multiple different locations. Based on what's been happening in that city the past several years, it's most likely a land grab, but they're painting it as safety concerns. It's an old building so I do believe it needs upgrades and renovations, but I do not buy that it's beyond repair. It is a quintessential part of Seattle music history. Bands I've worked with have come up through that space. I scouted for my first event at that space. So many huge bands have played there. This space NEEDS to be protected. Separating the programming among multiple locations will be devastating to the community that space has fostered.
