Oh yeah. You remember in Season 6, when Jonas came in as pinch hitter, and Daniel came back in Season 7 and Jonas went away? That’s was when it happened.

There was a Save Daniel Jackson campaign that was wildly contentious and unpleasant, opposing camps formed in fandom, famiiles were rent asunder. It was a whole thing.
