My pet lizard passed away..
With a heavy heart I have to say goodbye to my beloved lizard Katsu. He was an absolute treasure in my life and got me through so many tough times. He was incredibly smart, silly, and full of energy. He would be your perfect lap pet when you are lonely, and always look forward to seeing you when you come home from a long day at work.
He was just around 8 years old. I really truly wish he could've been around for longer, but unfortunately most vets don't take in exotic reptiles. Still, I hope that he passed peacefully and knowing that he was truly loved, and that he will be sorely missed.

If you have the time, I would like to request a moodboard. I am very interested in lizards (& veterinary medicine), enjoy science and antique (so old illustrations of lizards would be great). I am also highly sensitive, so I'd prefer some darker/calmer colours for the moodboard, nothing super bright. Possibly two strong colours that have a nice contrast.

Little Savannah Monitor currently in quarantine because I’m a sucker for skinny little babies that need help. This picture is after he’s been with me for a week and doesn’t even begin to show how thin this nugget was when he first came home.
Name still pending, but leaning towards Vaatu to match with Raava, my tegu. Jury’s still out.
Incredible video out of Apopka, Florida shows a gigantic reptile climbing up a man’s door.

Bosc reference sheet! I had trouble with his color palette, since I wanted to keep it somewhat realistic. I turned the Savannah Monitor orange into red, or else it would have been pretty dull, I think. I forgot to add any markings to his tail, but I assume the red spots would just continue down his spine. Or his tail will be striped like my example monitors in the corner. I guess we’ll see. I’m too lazy to change it atm.
