Next Gen TLK Headcanons
gonna do some headcanons for my next gen cubs. for more about their personalities, see this post.
Thamani has a strained relationship with Kiara at first during cubhood. She tries so hard to prove herself worthy of the Lion Guard mantle that she doesn't realize that she was given her name bc she is worth everything to her parents. She isn't told this until shortly after Simba dies. It shakes her to her core and her relationship with Kiara begins to improve shortly thereafter.
Fikiri has a lot of non-lion friends. He made quite a few of them on his unscheduled diplomacy visits (He calls them that to try and ease his parents' worries and plus it sounds kinda cool) He'll take a few of his bird friends with him (if he remembers to) in case he gets lost. However, even him and his bird friends will get lost more often than not. Luckily Thamani is good at catching his scent.
Sauti is surprisingly socially aware for his age. Though his teasing has crossed boundaries on many occasions, he is usually quick to learn from his mistakes. He knows exactly what kind of joke or remark to use to break the tension, hinting at his diplomatic skills. He gets along great with the gorilla tribe in the mountains when he comes to visit.
Kimya is particularly close to Ono and Anga and often goes on patrol with her father's Guard. When she was an infant, she was always asking for Anga to pick her up and for Kion or Beshte to catch her. She likes to play hide and seek with them and frequently insists that she's training, which is partially true. She is usually one of the fastest animals (save Fuli and Anga) to find everyone in hide and seek.
