Dawid Konarski led the winning team scroring 17 points, 12 from spikes and 5 from blocks. Captain Michal Kubiak added 13 points for the 2014 World Champions, while Filippo Lanza put 14 points on the board for the home team.

With Irina Voronkova spearheading Russia’s offence, her team put a stop to a four-match losing streak at the world level against China. In an FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix 2017 Group 1 encounter, held in Hong Kong, the Russians managed a 3-1 (25-23, 22-25, 25-18, 28-26) victory over the hosts of this year’s finals.
Voronkova was the most prolific spiker of the match, piling up 19 points in attack for a total of 20 in the match. Her teammate Kseniia Parubets was the best scorer of the game with 22 points, including four kill blocks. China’s Xiaotong Liu played only in the first three sets, but still led her team’s scorers with 15 points.
FIVB World League - Poland def. Canada 3-1
Bartolomiej Lemanski kill-blocked the Canadian spikers as many as five times to help Poland earn their first victory at the FIVB Volleyball World League tournament in Varna and overall third on the road to the finals in Brazil. The world champs managed a 3-1 (25-21, 27-25, 20-25, 25-19) win against the North American opponents.
Lemanski scored a total of 12 points for the winning team, as many as his teammate Mateusz Bieniek. They were outscored by Poland’s Dawid Konarski and Canada’s Ryley Brendan Barnes, who topped the charts with 15 points each, and by Jason Derocco, who tallied 13 points for coach Stephane Antiga’s squad.

The team of Poland triumphed with the gold medals at the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship Czech Republic 2017! The Polish team mastered a 3-0 (25-20, 25-10, 25-19) victory over Cuba in Sunday’s final in Brno to crown this generation of young players’ brilliant rise to manhood with yet another title. FIVB World League: France overcome Russia for a 3-1 (25-13, 25-20, 22-25, 25-21) victory in their second World League clash in Kazan with Stephen Boyer, Trevor Clevenot and Julien Lyneel showcasing their scoring skills in front of 5,800 spectators.
Boyer was the best scorer of the match with 18 points. Clevenot, Lyneel and Russia’s Maxim Zhigalov followed close behind with 17 points each.
Volleyball World League - Poland beat Brasil in a thrilling five-setter 3-2 (25-20, 20-25, 19-25, 25-22, 15-8)
Dawid Konarski scoring 20 points for the winning side, Evandro was the best scorer of the match with 23 points but Poland claimed the victory in five sets.Â
Brazil started imposing the pace in the first set and led 8-5 and 11-8, but Poland soon tied up with fierce spikes and a very good serve, winning the first set 25-20.Â
 In the second set Brazil counterattacked with Evandro  (57%) and Mauricio (67%) that piled on amazing spikes and monster blocks. The setback of Poland was prevented and Brazil tied up 1-1.
In the third set Dal Zotto team grew in defense and despite nine mistakes in serving, Brazil with an explosive Souza won the the third set. It was Lucarelli with two aces in a row who conquered the third set.Â
 De Giorgi’s team did not give up: with the impressive Sliwka’s aces and unstoppable blocks by Kurek and Klos they tied up the score and went straight to win set 4.Â
In the tie break Poland were almost perfect in blocking and serving and they made their dream come true: Poland won the first match of this World league against Rio’s champions of Brazil.Â
VakifBank Instabul, Rexona-SESC Rio, Volero Zurich and Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul established their places in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship Kobe 2017 semifinals
VakifBank preserved their unbeaten record in the tournament after they completed their sweep of host club Hisamitsu Springs 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-22).
Rexona-SESC Rio claimed the available semifinal spot in Pool A, when they defeated Dinamo Moscow in the tight 3-1 (25-23, 23-25, 25-23, 25-23) contest.
Volero Zurich reigned in Pool A after their sweep of Brazilian club Osasco Voleibol Clube 3-0 (27-25, 25-22, 25-18). The Swiss club is showing great consistency, without dropping any sets in the preliminary round.
Eczacibasi Istanbul got the last spot in the semifinals draw. Eczacibasi are still in the running to achieve a three-peat in the Women’s Club World Championship. They started their campaign this year with a loss to Volero Zurich, but came back with a 3-1 win over Osasco Voleibol Clube on the second day and a 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-16) win over NEC Red Rockets.
