And it is so blatantly obvious, it hurts.

That thought is a result of a post I read today, that gave me a massive headache. Something along the lines of "Of course the Titans don't want us running around, we are corruption." Some people really drank the Kaja-Aid.

First: The Chronicles are written from THEIR perspective. And they lied. We know that. It was pretty obvious and everyone bent backwards to make it fit. "Oh, it's just very hot felfire, that's why it's not green." The fuck? But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Sargeras and the Betrayal

That's the chapter title in Chronicles Volume 1, page 48.

The subsequent explosion of fel magic was powerful beyond even what the fallen titan had imagined. Violent energies enveloped Sargeras, surging through his veins and searing his very soul. His eyes burst in gouts of emerald fire. Fel volcanoes ignited across his once-noble form, splitting his skin apart and revealing an endless furnace of blistering hate.

A few pages below that we find this artwork.

So what? He's green.

Is he though? I mean, we've seen him now. And I remember a very distinct lack of green on that titan.

So... if the Titans lied about that, what else did they lie about? The source of the curse of flesh maybe?

In The War Within, I'm getting very strong vibes about the value of free will, and that it may come from Azeroth.

Are we corruption then? Or are we cleansed and freed from the Titans by (re-)gaining flesh?
