That is the question we pose to the students in our Summer Library Series. You will be amazed with some of the answers they have come up with. But, before you scroll down to see, take a minute to answer for yourself- What do you think is happening?

-a person.

-sometimes it is a dead person, with a black eye and a stitched mouth.

-sometimes he stuck his fork in his head because he absolutely could not eat his brussels sprouts.

-sometimes that "fork" is just really long hair, or an arm being raised. This is one versatile guy!

- a gumball machine.

- a "candy" made up of a jolly rancher, red and black licorice, and a cookie.

- a plate of food (an egg and bacon, cookies, spaghetti) sitting on a table with a fork to eat it.

( at this point in the lesson I start to get hungry)

- a rocket ship.

- sometimes it is the guy who didn't want to eat his vegetables riding on the rocket ship (because they certainly don't have brussels sprouts in outer space).

- a zombie.

-a camera on a tripod.

- an alien.

- a monster.

- a robot.

- a fish.
