ohhhbgh sanstablook is one of my favorite og ut ships

absolute rulers of laying on the floor feeling like garbage together. napstablook says sans is the best they've ever seen at it.

sans absolutely loves napstablook's music. actually, he's the first one to ever encourage them to make more since he thinks its so good.

napstablook makes sans a mixtape. he swears up and down he didn't cry when they gave it to him, but they totally saw him crying.

sans listens the heck out of that mixtape by the way.

once sans realizes napstablook is a big fan of MTT, he introduces them to papyrus, and now napstablook comes by snowdin to binge MTT's various different shows with paps and hang out with sans

now napstablook is friends with both skele bros

napstablook is a really anxious introvert, and sans is actually just a really chill extrovert. papyrus, on the other hand, is a textbook extrovert and never seems to run out of energy

no offense to paps, but sometimes his energy just kinda tires napstablook out just from them hanging out with him. they tend to go chill out with sans after that, because somehow sans is just the best at knowing when they need to be with someone but not talk.

sometimes napstablook will find sans in waterfall and they'll both hang out and look at the crystals-that-look-like-stars.

they share their wishes with each other here. turns out, they have the same wish. the echo flowers pick up the conversation.

sans tries the telescope prank on napstablook exactly once. of course, it doesnt work because they're a ghost, but sans makes a pun out of it anyways, which actually gets napstablook to laugh.

ah. oh no. napstablook's laugh is really cute. sans catches some gay. then he thinks back to all the times he's spent with napstablook, realizes more things, and catches more gay.

napstablook meanwhile, has already realized their own gay - back when they'd shared their wishes in waterfall. sans had laughed, then told them what a coincidence it was, because he had the same wish as them. that was the moment they caught feelings for him.

sans gets a show at the MTT hotel as a late night comedian in the restaurant. he invites napstablook to the show. napstablook hasn't had so much fun in such a long time that they tell sans this, and shyly thank him for inviting them. sans is internally having a crisis, but he's all chill about it.

then he probably accidentally lets something slip about his feelings, because lets be real, he can't be completely smooth all the time. cue a soft horrified apology, until napstablook says they feel the same way.

they take it rlly slow cuz neither of them are really used to relationships, but the first time napstablook calls sans their boyfriend, sans almost dies on the spot of gay. similarly, napstablook fades away entirely out of embarrassingly happy feelings the first time sans refers to them as his partner.
