Someone is sprinting in the distance.
They’re sprinting very quickly.
In fact, their bony limbs seemed to be but a blur with the rate they were going.
Actually, as the figure grew closer, it appeared as though not only were their limbs actually bones, but so was the rest of their body.
And they were yelling at the top of their lungs. They’d been yelling since the moment they saw the one they were running towards.
Specifically: they were calling out to them:
“saaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANS!!!”
With the rate Papyrus was running, it seemed as though the only thing that could stop him was either crashing into his brother or crashing into something else. Luckily, there was a something else for him to crash into, or rather the sidewalk was cracked just enough to snag on his large boot, send him hurdling forward, somersaulting twice, and skidding on his face.
He lay still for a moment. Then he sprung up onto his feet, turned, and latched onto his sibling.
“OH MY GOD SANS YOU’LL NEVER BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED! I WAS STANDING OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE REPEATING DIALOGUE AND WAITING FOR THE HUMAN TO CALL WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN I COMPLETELY BLACKED OUT! WHEN I AWAKENED, I WAS IN THIS WEIRD, STERILE ROOM WITH A MASSIVE SCREEN IN THE MIDDLE OF IT--”
He kept rambling thusly, too flabbergasted to register anything the other was doing. He went on and on for a solid three minutes before ending his spiel with:
“AND NOW I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE I AM! ISN’T THAT HORRIBLE?!?!”
