Ooo ok so. I think he just turned out to be not the person I thought he was. I thought we were in it for the adventure and to see the world and experience it all together. Turns out he was just trying to get rich and he thought I kept trying to explore and learn and linger in new places for too long and thought I was holding him back so he split. The only thing he left behind was a letter that implied basically that.

Ok I have thoughts.

One of the main ways Sanj woos me is by making me coffees exactly the way I like them every morning, ready right when I wake up. He buys fancy matcha to keep on-hand for me and comes up with fun seasonal lattes to impress me with. And he knows not to make me decaf even if it’s nighttime—I still want that caffeine 🥰

He likes carrying me around places and most of the time I just let him.

His favorite place to kiss me besides the lips is the back of my hand. He’s as protective of my hands as he is of his own.

Hi nana, ily, thank you for your patience as I collected my thoughts on this. I have sort of a working self-insert/self-ship story for the one piece universe, and though a lot of the details are very much a shadow of the mental state I was in at the time I do still like it.

SO. In this world I become a straw hat (I simply must) post-timeskip between punk hazard and Dressrosa. The Sunny makes a stop on the island where I’m living for supplies and probably deposes a corrupt king while they’re at it 😆

My story is I was once in a 2-person pirate crew with my ex-man until he just took our ship and everything we had and left in the middle of the night. I was stranded on that island because I couldn’t afford my own ship or assemble a crew to leave with anyway. So I had to sort of cobble together a life from nothing.

My role on the crew is the historian—basically I want to write down all of the crew’s adventures for posterity and for future generations to know the true story of Loof becoming king of the pirates of course (you can’t always trust what those newspapers say!). Robin, chopper, brook, and I have a book club. Usopp, Nami, and I hang out at night to study constellations together. But I also help out in the kitchen here or there, certainly for no curly brow related reasons 👀

Ok so, while I don’t really mind a more closed concept in a home (I think it’s cozier sometimes), Sanj would definitely want the kitchen to open into the dining room so he could watch people digging in and enjoying the food even if he’s still cooking other dishes or making dessert. He likes it spotless and pristine, so mostly white but with some color to brighten the space (this is his dojo, what he says goes). Maybe something like this:

While I’m not the best at entertaining guests, I do think I have a good eye for decorating so I’d kind of take over in the dining room. I’d want it to be a little darker and moodier and maximalist, but still welcoming. I’m thinking a dark printed wallpaper and plush, comfy dining chairs and a bar cart that’s well-stocked. In our house, the dining room is like a second living room to hang out in.

The people want to know, what’s a fun fall day with you and Sanji look like? Do you go to the farmers market to get some fresh produce to help him cook? Do you walk around looking at all the beautiful scenery? 🎤🎤🎤

I think you’re dead on with the morning farmer’s market for me and Sanj. We start by grabbing a coffee, then we walk around while he picks out produce he wants to cook that week. He’s chatty with all the vendors because he’s such a regular and he knows them all personally at this point. I’m happy to tag along 🩵 on our way out, I stop at a little independent artist’s booth and Sanj buys me a pair of earrings because he loves to spoil me and he knows I was going to talk myself out of getting them.
