Notes: 1) At the Battle of Komaki-Nagakute, Ieyasu was actually having an advantage in the battle. But using his strategies, Hideyoshi managed to make Oda Nobukatsu (Nobunaga’s son), whom Ieyasu was fighting for, sign a peace treaty and surrender to him, making Hideyoshi the winner.
After this battle, Hideyoshi got one step closer to unifying the country, changing his name from Hashiba Hideyoshi into Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
2) The Battle of Osaka is divided into 2 parts--the Winter Siege of Osaka (1614) and the Summer Siege of Osaka (1615). This battle ended the Toyotomi as a clan after their defeat, and marked the last battle of the Sengoku Era. The next 250 years would be peaceful under the rule of the Tokugawa Shogunate.
