The Sandman/The Addams Family Crossover AU
As someone who likes highly specific AU ideas, the idea of Debbie Jellinsky and the Corinthian teaming up to be a Collector duo is quite fitting considering both embody the (white) American Dream. Given Debbie is known for using disguises, I figure the both of them could get away with pretending to be married, siblings, cousins, whatever relationship to get the marks they are after. Debbie might not care for how he consumes eyeballs, and he might think she’s too materialistic, but otherwise they get along as partners in crime. They have different energies, but they’re both charming and resourceful individuals.
While the show has less horror than the comics, I figure that a horror comedy could match the tone here. Also I just like the parallels between them, particularly with their ending speeches both about being/wanting to be human. They’re both dark mirrors: nightmares dressed like daydreams.
