My dad's fishing boat & skiff at Korovin Island, Alaska. 💙🐟 FAQ: No, the boat I fish on is not big (most people picture a Deadliest Catch boat). It is a small, 42 foot vessel that is designed for a crew of three. The type of fishing we do is called "set gill netting", and it doesn't require a large crew at all. Another question I often get is "Do you fish in the Bering Sea?". Nope! Salmon swim up against the shore, so our nets are near land. However, we do sleep on the boat because our fishing sites are on a different island than the one my dad's house is on.
