Extremely beautiful sunset view of Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter with its gorgeous canal run through the quarter. (Taken on 12 November 2017) I was extremely surprise with the charm of Okayama Prefecture. This is the kind of Japan city that I’m coming here for and at its best. There are not many foreign tourist around, just local tourist doing sightseeing with their family for beautiful Sunday during this Autumn season :). Honestly I came to the west side for Kyoto, but I was extremely surprise with the huge number of tourist flocking everywhere which is different from year 2007 when I was here. I think it became so touristry now and it lost a little bit of its ‘Japan’ vibe (There are so many foreign languages spoken every corner especially the tourist spot and the station. Trust me in 2007, you can hardly spot any visitors at the station.). I guess tourism can be a double-edges sword, at one end it helps the economy, but at the other end the huge number of visitors flooding the area can affect the whole balance of the local culture. Sorry, for the long whining, just need to throw it out there. 😃🙏 #Kurashiki #Okayama #Canal #sunset #Bikan #Historical #Quarter #Kansai #West #Japan #Travel #Nature #landscape #panorama #iPhoneOnly #shotoniphone #lppostcards #lppathfinders #lonelyplanet #natgeo #vsco #cnnireport #cnntravel #bbctravel #SanDiskPics #iamtraveler #tlpicks #Autumn (at 倉敷美観地区)
