How can this be. We make room for another mouth to feed, but can’t feed our own. The days drag on and most don’t see what is really going on in the city and what’s has been happening. It’s not there fault though they are hard at work trying to live the best lives they can. Others however are just getting by trying to live. Remember if he screams it’s because his schizophrenia medication ran out last month and his state funding is gone. If she is asking for a hand out, it’s because her kids were taken last week by social services and she needs to get clean and off the streets to get them back. If they ask for a cigarette, it’s their stress relief, because they were denied housing at father joes, it’s full up, they aren’t sure where they will sleep tonight or if they will eat at all this day. Feel for them, but most of all never look down on them. Instead of donating our money to questionable religious organizations, we decided to go back to giving directly to the homeless people in San Diego. Homelessness has always been an issue very personal to me and even moreso now that we have gone through it with three kids recently. ⠀⠀⠀ San Diego has one of the highest homeless populations in the country because the weather isn't unbearably cold outdoors in the winter. Still, it gets cold at night and used blankets & warm gear would go a long way to help people who don't have it. Old backpacks and tote bags for the supplies REALLY helps. This is my simple plan to cheaply and permanently house every homeless person currently living in the #tentCities #downtownSandiego by simply taking a large warehouse or building a simple warehouse on an empty lot along with some outdoor awnings and umbrella like coverings for an outdoor area for tents, fill the warehouse up with bunk beds and get a warehouse with an existing big industrial type bathroom, build a simple multi stall showers for men and women and then build a communal kitchen into one side and lockers on another wall andin small rooms have a washer dryer or two for laundry room and an outdoor and indoor area with tables and a outdoor gym space with basketball court that can also be setup as a tennis court but then another grassy area Nextdoor with large talk fences around it and inside a space for anyone who wants to have their own tent and doesn't want the bunk beds... And then we will simply bring in all the #SanDiegoHomeless who currently make #SanDiego look really bad to tourists who see tent city of #HomelessSanDiego under the 5 freeway near #DowntownSandiego #eastvillagesd and taking all the homeless off the sidewalks and into a dignified setup like this where we also build a few private rooms for some of the most trustworthy people staying here and let them be the security and administrators and give them a private room as pay just a few... And honestly there won't be much problems most of the homeless simply want something basic like a bunk bed in a warehouse with a communal kitchen bathrooms and lockers to prevent theft and allow people to pool their Existing EBT funds and encourage them to buy groceries and bring them to the fridges to allow people to make big meals and everyone there will basicly qualify or enough EBT to feed them and we will get food donations for the basics to provide basic meals to whoever needs them and a nice little hangout Area where they can hangout and socialize without having to roam the streets which makes the streets look bad and dangerous and poor when those homeless wandering the streets of downtown would much rather hangout here in this great cheap converted warehouse solution ... We will play movies too
