What struck me most about 'Us' and 'Reverse with Me' was the realistic way in which they depict the devastating impact of paternal violence on a family. Mothers' silence, far from being a lack of reaction, is presented as a form of violence in its own right. Kliao and Dokrak's difficulty in returning to a home that is no longer a safe place is particularly poignant. The reaction of their brothers, who ask them to return despite their knowledge of the situation, adds a heartbreaking dimension to the story. The exploration of these complex themes in a GL story is both unexpected and highly relevant.

The way I love that the love language of Pam and Dokrak is physical intimacy it is so cute

I already miss the teenagers of Gelboys. They were messy, honest, brave, but most of all, they tried to stay true to themselves. I really appreciate the inspiration from Skam and Skins that comes through in the series, but I would have liked the boys to express themselves more about their sexuality. It's a deliberate choice not to.
