Adriana had never been a fan of the cold. She was born and raised in the deserts of California. Her sun-kissed skin had only ever faced such temperatures a handful of times in her life. This sort of situation would definitely take some getting used to. Especially now that she sported metal limbs. In subzero temperatures, there was a greater chance that her metal joints would lock up. The reality of the situation fueled the mechanic’s fire; she needed to finish this quickly, before she lost her mobility.
The comment had rolled off her tongue without restraint. In the presence of Strange, her filter was a tad weaker. Besides, she was never one to shy away from a little flirting. There was no concern for the stigma behind student-teacher relations as Adriana was well above the legal age. as for rumors? Her whole existence was surrounded by them. Nothing new there.
Now, had the comment been intentional or just a mere slip of the tongue? Strange was skilled and attractive, that Adri was certain of. A tad egotistical at times, but the mechanic wasn’t one to take any shit from the man. When it came to machines and electronics, Adriana could run circles around the man. Between her talents and tongue, she could easily counter his witty remarks. Maybe, just maybe, she actually wanted to kiss her teacher.
“I’m more of an offensive fighter, Doctor.” Raising a tattooed hand, the woman summoned a red shield. “But I’m always prepared to challenge myself.”
At his remark regarding her prior comment, Adriana turned and gave him a wink. “Let’s move this along before my circuits freeze up.”
