CONCEALED VISAGE yet presents THREAT, tense DEMEANOR enough to dissuade any form of HOSTILE ACTION--- that, & the BODIES he’s dropped, laid now upon the ground around him, effectively & EFFICIENTLY brought to differing states of IMMOBILIZED ; some merely unconscious, others faring WORSE, having met serrated steel of tactical knife. this of which he twirls in hand, hardly for SHOW, simply to reaffirm better GRIP--- his turn is slow, UNHURRIED, nearly PREDATORY as he sets sights upon new target ;

    A lingering thought came to life. His eyebrow arching, red hues gliding over to meet with hers. It was a rare thing. Seeing someone so ｂ ｒ ａ ｖ ｅ around a someone like him. Someone with 𝒷𝓁𝑜𝑜𝒹 dripping off each and every nail. Painting the pieces of green grass at his feet to crimson.

    “ Interesting, really. ” He shifted, head cocking to the side while he let out an amusedscoff. “ Normally people w r e a k of fear, but. You do not.”

she  SHOULD  be  scared  .     after  all  ,  she  was  currently  face  to  face  (  face  to  fangs  ?  )  with  a  vampire  .     granted  ,  it’s  probably  not  the  weirdest  thing  she’s  ever  seen  ,  but  regardless  .

maybe  it’s  the  SHOCK  that’s  got  her  numb  to  fear  .     surely  it  may  set  in  any  minute  now  ,  but  if  she  tries  to  come  off  as  calm  and  collected  ,  maybe  she’ll  trick  him  (  AND  HERSELF  )  into  thinking  she’s  BRAVE  ENOUGH  .

   The distance was killing him inside -- though he knew Celeste wouldn’t know he was gone, Raven still was worried about her. He could only hope that with him not around her for a while, she’d be safe from the ripple effect from his own actions. He tried not to look at the picture in his wallet no matter how much he wanted to; deciding to rather put his focus on the people he found himself surrounded by on this chaotic night.

   Wait? What happened here? He was so lost in thought, Raven was so confused when he saw people screaming and pulling their phone out to call the cops. They gathered around something near an entrance of a narrow alleyway combined with murmuring and citizens calling for help from the police. Shoving and pushing his way through the crowd, Raven had to get a good look at what had everyone so shaken up. 

   The body not only looked like it was drained of all it’s skin color, but the way it’s arm was twisted made it look like they struggled -- and whatever they struggled against, it sure as hell didn’t like it. He crouched down near the body, not caring for the bystanders glances and gasps; the plague doctor get-up was already strange -- he’d have been accused almost instantly even if he didn’t intervene. His gloved hand brushed  against the head, turning side to side to see what happened until he felt something along the neck that sent chills up his spine.  

   “A...Are these.. Holes? Bite marks even?” he muttered to himself. Quickly standing up, Raven’s eyes scanned the crowd trying to parse out who could’ve done this. When it was clear that he couldn’t figure it out, he glanced back down at the body and noticed some drops of blood that lead into the alleyway. Acting on the barest of evidence and instinct, he ran down deeper into the dark narrow alleyway to see if he could find the culprit and to get away from the suspecting gaze of the crowd. It split off into two different directions and he’d have gone the wrong direction had he not seen a faint figure at the end of the exit to his right. Not giving it the chance to escape, Raven sprinted faster.

it’s as though their collision SLOWS TIME ; the CRASH, & ensuing FUMBLE of the coffee cup in jack’s hand—in reality it’s only a brief INSTANT, but he feels FORLORN for ETERNITY as half his coffee sloshes from its cup, painting itself in spray across the chest of the stranger who - in jack’s opinion - had dared step TOO CLOSE in the FIRST PLACE.

in this accident they’re BOTH to blame, & jack’s too tired to compromise on anything otherwise—he’d hoped for a caffeine boost to help COMBAT his exhaustion,but now this STRANGER wears it in dripping rivulets. 

there’s a deep SIGH from the soldier, who then gestures vaguely towards the man ; 

   Celeste was pretty impressed, she knew that people took cosplay seriously, but this was spectacular. Her eyes looked at him like how she looked at her studies -- with great focus on his whole look.

   “Oh this looks so good though!” she chirped happily. She wondered if he’d get along with Jay, though granted Jay was an actual vampire and this dude was a cosplayer. Little did she know of the company before her -- as much as Celeste wanted to give other the benefit of the doubt, she really was too nice at times.
