Hey, I wanted to make this post because I know people still interact with my blog and such and so an update feels warranted.
I still love Samuel, I (in)frequently talk about him to a friend even though it's been a year, and usually by now I stop hyperfixating on a character.
The reason I haven't reposted any art or posted anything recently is frankly because I don't like the way I see people treat Samuel in the fandom or from second hand accounts of how people treat him and my friend. I originally created this blog to share my love for the character with everyone, but seeing how people behave has made me extremely weary of doing so.
I never wanted to make this blog a negative space, I wanted this to be a neutral space so that everyone who enjoys Samuel the way they do can all share their love for the character together. But I don't feel that when half or more of his fans seem to completely misunderstand him and his faith, to a point of hurting others.
I don't want to go into details about the problems I've heard, because this was a friend sharing their personal experiences with me and as such I will respect their privacy. But it's disappointing and has made me all but delete this blog in all honesty.
