it’s after hours and his knock raps against the locked door of the florist’s shop, sure he could unlock the door himself and walk inside. it is his space that he’s renting to elain, but it’s so much more satisfying to watch the pretty blonde make the stressful trip to the door to unlock it and let him in herself. he expects her to do so promptly, especially because they both know what today is. it’s collection day and she owes him rent for the space that he’s been kind enough to rent out to her so she can run this adorable little shop of hers. his knuckles give a slightly harder knock against the glass when he finds that she’s not moving fast enough for his liking, the two men flanking him chuckling under their breath because they know how their boss is.

He hadn't thought anything about it when he first started rolling the joint for himself. But then it was like a switch went off in his head the second the pretty little thing in front of him started to ask questions about what it felt like when the high set it. Samuel chuckled under his breath, pulling the joint from his lips with a slow grin spreading over them. "The only way to find out is to try it for yourself." He told her, scooting himself closer to where she sat next to him on the sofa. Holding out the lit joint, Samuel offered it to Aurora with a reassuring smile. "Go on, I promise nothing bad is gonna happen, you trust me right?"

he’s sat at the back of the bar, shadows cast by low lighting concealing him and the few men that he had flanking. samuel’s not looking for trouble that night, but when he sees the young woman walk in with a few of her friends he instantly recognizes her and knows that trouble is all he’ll be getting into. they’re on neutral ground, but she’s still the daughter of one of his fiercest rivals. she’s forbidden, but it’s just the right type of forbidden for samuel as he nods to a couple of the younger bikers with him to go run interference. he gives it a moment, waiting until the pretty little thing is separated from the group and then he approaches, sidling up to where she stands at the bar waiting on a drink. “evening.” he says, leaning on the bar. his tone is smooth with just the hint of gravel as he offers up an easy smile. 

“So you want to make a deal with me?” He had to say he was surprised by the girl, there weren’t many humans that could pull that off and it was enough that the demon was willing to entertain the little witch long enough to hear her out. “First your sister, now you. Feel like I’m collecting a set here.” The demon chuckled, revealing that he knew just who this girl was and her connection to her sister whose already made a deal with him earlier that week. 

"Did you and your mother have a nice time while you were away?” The king questions, already waiting for the princess when she enters her chambers. The maids and guards have all been dismissed, and she should know by now why the king is here. It’s all his petty revenge against her mother, the woman that has lied for years about the girl being his daughter when the truth is so much more damning. The girl is nothing but a bastard begotten to a whore queen that took up a lover when while he was at war defending his lands and people. He can’t have the queen executed, she’s just as beloved as he is but he can take and use the one thing he knows the queen loves the most and rub it in her face. It’s why he’s there, the taste of alcohol still on his lips as he sits in the girl’s chambers.
