Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, Allison stumbled up to The Mix-Up, the sun barely peeking out over the buildings. Usually she was okay to grab the early morning deliveries but sleep had been elusive the past couple nights and it was beginning to take it’s toll. Maybe she should call in some of the younger kids that worked in the evening for her to see if they could take the day shift. She could go home, curl up in bed with a book and just read the day away. But, that wouldn’t be possible until she grabbed the order.
Allison rapped her knuckles three times against the backdoor before twisting the knob and pushing the door open. It was never wise to sneak up on anybody in this town, not unless you were prepared for a fight. Or to jump out of the way. “Samson? It’s Allison - I’ve just come by to grab the order for Teas to Please.” Looking around, she couldn’t see him immediately and she wandered in further. “Samson?”
