♡ : Zombie
You've been turned into a zombie for an AU thread! The outbreak started quite a few years ago and you've probably were one of the first ones turned; but by this time you're tired of just eating people and walking around doing nothing—maybe you have more of a brain than the others? It's been a few weeks since you've last seen a human and today you've come across Chaewon in an empty building rummaging for cans.. Most likely inspired from the Warm Bodies movie.
i am not sure what days are anymore, or weeks, or if they have always been a construct of a society that no longer exists. I just know that I've been walking these same streets for days, seeing nothing but other mindless corpses-sometimes the same ones in passing-until I am not sure if this is a another time meeting or if we are actually in the same unending conversation.
"RRRrrrhhhhhgggh." Is our greeting to each other. That is an improvement. I used to just say "Rrgh" and now it's stretched out. I hope to someday make two syllables. It's a small goal, but a good one.
I haven't had any brains today and I am feeling the weakness in my limbs. Worse, I feel listlessness in my brain-if I can call it that. Few thoughts occur other than my inner monologue that I tell to only myself to keep my own mind from being idle and to provide some sort of entertainment. I don't have to explain that to myself, but I do.
I don't remember who I used to be. I think it started with an R. I seem to recall someone calling me R something at one point. I don't remember who I used to be. Was I someone important like a diplomat? Was I a public figure? I was probably a garbageman, actually. Maybe I was an engineer. I don't know. I may never know.
Though the inner monologue is then suddenly interrupted by an unfamiliar sound of ruffaging. Metal cans clinging is not a sound for zombies to make. it could be a rat. it could be any animal, but it promised that something was alive that could be eaten and that meant the possibility of food.
He shuffled towards the sound, one leg dragging from an injury long ago fighting a young man who didn't want to be eaten. Arms to his side, he continued in the direction as the sound grew louder. He shuffled still, slowly. How did he catch anyone when he moved so very achingly slowly?
Upon seeing the creator of the noise, he paused in shock. Dead eyes widened as wide as dragon eyes could. What was this? Someone...alive? And a girl as well. Yet there was something familiar about her and he couldn't quite put his graying, damaged finger on it.
He decided to greet her in the most enthusiastic way that he could.
"RRrrrrraaaagggghh."
Yes, that wasn't scary at all.
