Honestly people who complain bout drawing characters with darker skin and/or giving them canon sexualities, need to calm down. They only change the exterior of the character and not the characters themselves.

I hate so much that I lost out on girlhood. I've felt like so much of my healing has been through reclaiming it, doing shit that sounds silly but means so so much. Watching a lot of media I was told/felt was too girly, indulging in passions that I was denied. Even the non gender specific stuff, just growing as a person and my gender identity being respected has been so so wonderful. As much as I wish I had gotten to experience it during my childhood, I'm just glad I'm getting to experience it at all.
