Je T'aime. A poem for mon amour
May be one day in future, i'd shine bright like a star
Then I'd run to you, please you dont stand too far
I'd merge into you fully and form a stellar black hole
We'll consume all the happiness and interwine our tangled souls.
at this point i should just post the whole poem
I think that I found you long ages ago, When the world was still young and untried; In an idyllic Kingdom, where Beauty held sway, And Charm was enthroned by her side. From out of the uncharted spaces, I came To adore you, a being divine; And loved, wooed and won you, hold you for aye: Thru eons and eons of time. I seem to remember, ‘midst old temple walls, A court, with a garden and stream, And a sparkling fountain and tall fronded palms, And you. Or was it a dream, When I saw you, a priestess, in raiment of white, With a crescent of jade of your hair? While I, a mere wanderer, daring to love; Stood trembling, to worship you there. Perhaps I first saw you in some hidden glen, By the fire of a gipsy retreat; And singing strings called to me out of the night, As you danced to the wild, rhythmic beat, Then paused, ere you fled me, a creature of grace, With you headdress of Romany gold: As Love, lightly sleeping, awakened, to live ‘Till the stars and the planets grow old. Or might I have found you on some mystical isle, By the side of an ancient lagoon, As you gazed in the depth of a mirror-like pool, In the flow of a tropical moon? But that was a myriad of memories ago, When I first knew your tender embrace; And the light that o’er flowed from the depth of your eyes, I found in the smile on your face. I think that I loved you, when Time was a child, By the shores of a beautiful bay; Where we lived in strange houses - discarded of old, For the houses we in - today. And you, are still, you, and I, am still I, With a bond that grows stronger, space; And we’ll live again, meet again, love yet again- In some unknown Utopian place.
