The deleted scene from Trio added into the Final Cut. Audio is a bit whack, excuse me for that, it’s not my area of expertise when it comes to editing. And same with the drastic quality changes, but again, not my area of expertise, so I apologise. Also the cuts aren’t the best.. but i tried, and at the end of the day it still fits.

The Sam with Jack & the box stuff makes more sense to me, although I do side eye it.
Sam never planned for Jack to stay in the box. The only reason he agreed to Dean's insane plan was because he completely lost any sense of trust in himself. He was broken down throughout season 14 and was in a place where he didn't trust his ability to properly judge or lead people.
He blamed himself for what happened with Mary. He was the one who trusted Jack in the first place and had brought Jack into the family and encouraged him to use his powers. He was already reeli after what happened with Nick.
That's why it was such a big moment when he was able to recognize what was happening with Chuck and stand up to him.
