June 12 On day two of the road trip Haley and I slept until 8, got ready, and had breakfast for free at the Best Western. We got a Lyft (ride sharing app, like a taxi), and headed into San Francisco! It took about a half hour to get from our hotel to the Golden Gate Bridge. We got dropped off right before the bridge, so we got to walk across it. When I was there in January, we rode out bikes over the bridge, so it was nice to go across it differently this time. It was around 10:30, so it was still pretty foggy out, and windy too! We took our time walking across the bridge, made it to the view point on the other side, then took a Lyft back to our hotel. We grabbed everything out of the room and checked out, and hit the road! We wanted to go down the 101, it was supposed to be more scenic, and more coastal farther south, but Haley didn't like how it went through cities the whole time, and the freeway was six lanes wide. So, we decided to go through San Jose and head back to I5. We stopped for Starbucks, In N Out, and gas, and found I5. From there it was a pretty boring drive. I5 was two lanes again, and Haley drove the whole way. We stopped a few times for gas and snacks, and made good time to LA. Ashley lives in Studio City, which is north LA. We got there around 7:30! Haley was so excited to see Ashley! Heather was there, too. We got most of Haley's things out of the car and into their apartment. They had painted Haley and I welcome signs! So cute. We were pretty hungry, so Ashley look a to a place called Fred 62s. We got some breakfast food, then Ashley gave us a little tour around some of the neighborhoods of LA. We went back her place, hung out with Heather for a bit, showered, and went to bed. We made it!
