A wonderful lunch at Bassenthwaite Lake Station (a lovely cafe in converted train carriages!) followed by a crazy drive through the snow to get to tonight's gig in Hexham. Rosa loved having lunch on the train - although she did keep yelling "chooo choooo!", and telling us in a concerned way that the train wasn't moving yet. Now setting up for the gig, which is most definitely still on for anyone wondering. Dear all, sad to say we've made the tough decision to postpone tonight's Buxton Saltlines gig. Sorry for any disappointment this will cause - it is obviously a crap situation for us too, with hotels paid for and time spent hanging around rather than playing! But we felt going ahead would be unfair on the many ticket holders who were contacting us saying they wouldn't be able to make it. We also had serious safety concerns both for the audience and ourselves getting out of Buxton late at night when so many roads are closed and ice is forecast.
