Hello members! We hope you are enjoying the Masquerade ball and stirring up all kinds of drama. You still have plenty of time to get in those last minute dances and snag an expensive bottle of liquor on the way out, as the ball isn’t over until 12:00 AM EST tonight.

Happy Sunday, Salem’s Point! Just a bit of house cleaning today, we have gone ahead and updated the rules for the roleplay concerning hiatuses. Until now, the admin team was fairly lenient on allowing everyone to take a break from the roleplay as needed without real guidelines in place. Unfortunately it has been brought to our attention that some people might be taking advantage of that generosity. We hate needing to make this adjustment, but we have to be fair to everyone in the roleplay since you all depend on each other for plots and connections. It becomes incredibly hard to maintain those important factors which allow a roleplay to thrive if certain muns are consistently away from the dash. We definitely still encourage all of you to reach out to us when you’re worried about your activity for the coming week due to OOC events, but we will be abiding by these rules for all future requests.

HIATUSES

There are two versions of the hiatus, both of which exclude you from the activity check. There are semi-hiatuses which last one week and permit you to occasionally reply to bigger plots as your schedule allows, and full hiatuses during which you will not be active on any characters whatsoever for two weeks.

After returning from a hiatus, you must be consistently active for two weeks before you will be granted another; this is to avoid back to back hiatuses.

Should your character have been on the activity check within the past week, you will not be granted a hiatus unless there are special circumstances at play (family death, major illness, any serious unexpected OOC event).

Having too many characters and not enough time to be on all of them does not qualify for a hiatus, if you are experiencing this issue then we will ask you to drop a character to clear up space for the rest.

If, at any point, we feel that a mun is taking advantage of their hiatuses to hoard characters/faceclaims or simply avoid the activity check, we reserve the right to deny a hiatus of any type.

Hello team! We wanted to start this post off by expressing how proud we are of the interactions happening on the dash and everyone’s effort to reach out to as many people as they can to set up plots. The basis of this roleplay relies on you guys and your willingness to make plots / connections with each other; so we thank you for that!

Hello dear members! We come bearing some bad news, and it saddens us all deeply to have to do this; but unfortunately the admin team simply doesn’t have the time to properly put into the group any longer and we believe that its time to close Salems Point. We all have been struggling with finding the time outside of work / school to dedicate to the group, but we unfortunately aren’t finding the proper amount to focus on the main, as well as all of our characters. We are absolutely amazed and blown away by the members who have stuck with us since the previous group and/or through our revamp, and we completely adored each and every one of your characters. We truly wanted to see Salem’s Point flourish and continue bringing this plot to life, and are all sadden to have to make this post.

Hello loves! We, the admin team, are coming at you with a few more updates to the rules and how we’re doing things. The following changes have been made:

After some discussion, we have decided to add another acceptance day so that current and any potential members won’t have to wait as long between. So moving forward, our acceptance days will be Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
