What a fascinating land Edward has found himself in. 

He is no stranger to the concept of travelling between worlds. The Halidom has housed many guests from other realms before, after all. What is quite strange is that he has no recollection of how he might have arrived here. There were no otherworld portals, no surges of mana, not even the gate that those lovely heroes from another world had rebuilt was currently active. One day he was in the castle, and the next he was simply here.

It is a conundrum for certain. Edward ponders the situation as he walks down the street of the ward he was taken to by some strange vehicle. This place is well inhabited, it seems, but the architecture is quite unlike what he is used to in New Alberia. Edward would like to let his curiosity guide him and explore, but he knows right now, it is best to gather intel. 

He has no qualms about approaching someone on the street who looks rather confused. Perhaps they have just arrived as well? Maybe he can reach new conclusions by learning of her circumstance.

Though, their souls.. they were connected in someway, weren’t they? They lived separate lives, experienced completely different things, but shared an existence with each other; their similarities almost always showing through their actions. The way they spoke, the way they looked at things-- they could almost be identical to how the person he’d known before was, but he knew how to differentiate them now. 

He did, and yet.. when he sees her, he feels his throat tighten almost instantly.

.. she was young. Much younger than the princess he knew, but he could recognize her from a mile away. There was no way that he wouldn’t be able to. Someone who shared appearances with a girl he once travelled with; her journey the very reason why he even started his in the first place. She hasn’t even noticed him yet, and it would be fairly easy for Kurogane to keep walking, to make sure that their paths didn’t cross.. .. but despite himself, he allows himself to reach out to her.

It’s been a long time since he’s seen her.

“.. don’t you have anyone you can travel with here?” his voice is a tad softer than he usually allowed it to be, crimson gaze falling to her emerald. No outward emotion shows on his face, focusing on keeping himself composed. “It’s dangerous for kids your age to be out at this time of night.”

Perhaps it was well in time he should speak to his roommate. She seemed kind and genuine, which was exactly why Roman had avoided her thus far. Hadn’t even held a real conversation with the poor thing.  Still, he had thought, perhaps it would  be more inconvenient not to know someone so close. After all, he wouldn’t want her getting in the way, right? Seeking her out had been a simple enough. He already knew a few spots she would frequent, after all. He had spotted her a number of times at the farmers’ market while he was bartering.  And as luck would have it... “Just the person I was hoping to see! You’re not tied up at the moment, are you?”

This was a little tricky. Dealing with royalty always was. He had no issue with scolding Kiragi when the boy made a mess or reminding Kana when to wash up. But the princess of  Hoshido had always been kind and proper, if somewhat reserve. Keeping to herself and most importantly, never making any mess that he needed to take care of. Quite honestly, It made her endearing in his eyes: any person who allowed him to keep doing nothing had to be good. 

But it almost meant they hardly had a chance to really become acquainted with one another. So although he was elated to see another familiar face, he was unsure on how to approach her. ‘I mis you,’ ddin’t sound genuine enough. ‘I’m glad you’re okay,’ was the truth but ... it didn’t felt like enough.

“..... er... “

After a small, awkward silence, he decided to speak plainly,

Stephen was somewhat excited when he heard he was getting a new partner. Though he was slightly more busy now that he was starting to get into the swing of things. Becoming a regular recluse again. So, instead he sent out a card inviting her over to tea. It might be slightly better than an unannounced in person introduction anyways. 

So, on thick elegant looking card stock he wrote out a simple letter: 

Dear Sakura, 

I think it would be very nice to meet you soon. I was hoping you would like to come over for some tea and cakes if you could find the time. I will write my housing number on the back of this card for easy reference. My door is always open so feel free to come in whenever you find the time.

“We need more recovery items and food will last for a few more weeks...providing those powers not needing a high energy source, then there’s having to find more Monsters to make pacts with...” With two wolf monsters at side, Emil heading over to the more populated areas that sold things in bulk- just what he needed for talking care of a lot of people.

The only problem was that he was having a hard time carrying things around like before, as for the problem with having nails in your arms.

“Ah well, guess it’s my lucky day to get the last one, huh?” At the moment he tried to grab it he felt someone pulling it as well. “Oi, I saw it first, better luck next time!”

It was a casual shopping trip to the generals department. Even if the city has provided her with all she need, it was obviously still not enough. The church that she saw previous was abandoned and she had hopes of restoring it to its former beauty or better. But first thing she needs to do is clean it, the poor thing was just covered in dust. 

Walking down the aisle of the cleaning section, the sister blinked as she saw the figure of an all too familiar magus. "Oh my." Her feet quicken her pace as she wanted to confirm the figure that was before her. "Why if it isn't Sakura Matou, I would have never suspected you to be in this city as well."
