Have you guys met my new hat? It's made of hemp and I snaffled it from the Eumundi markets a couple of months ago when we were in Mooloolabah. If you've been following us a while, you'll know I've been a big straw hat lover for many years - because they're a natural fibre and compost well. Problem is they started composting too early in the tropics. . I have high hopes that the quality of this hat will see me good for a few years, considering the lifestyle it will lead. Hemp is a strong, durable fibre and apparently will even wash well. That'll be first! So after a few months of wear I can officially say, this hat is a keeper. Worn cowgirl style of course 🤠 . Day 4 on our crossing to New Cal saw us becalmed. Now that was unexpected! So I took the opportunity to pull out the sewing kit and add a drawstring to my new hat, to keep it on my head in all conditions. The toggle was repurposed from an old jumper. I think that's pretty neat. . So what shall I call my hat? Currently it's name is Hat. Do we have any new contenders in the name game?
