How I Think Certain Alterations Would Alter Certain Glyph Combos’ Power
Ok. Here I’ll be going over how certain alterations would alter certain Glyph combos’ power. Also, Spoiler Alert for The Owl House TV series. With that out of the way, let’s dive right in.
The alteration I have in mind for Philip Wittebane’s Water Fountain Glyph combo is adding a Plant Glyph to the circle that already has 3 Ice Glyphs on it. I think that the resulting Glyph combo would cause whoever or whatever it is used on to grow in size. After all, since, as shown in the episode ‘Them’s The Breaks, Kid’, the Water Fountain Glyph combo without the alteration of adding the Plant Glyph to the circle that has the 3 Ice Glyphs already makes water. And water does cause plants to grow. So, it makes sense that adding a Plant Glyph to the Water Fountain Glyph combo would make a Growth Glyph combo. Also, the reason why I put the Plant Glyph on the circle that has the 3 Ice Glyphs is because the Fire Glyph is connected to that circle of the 3 Ice Glyphs and the fact that the line used to directly connect the Fire Glyph to that circle of the 3 Ice Glyphs, despite not being directly connected to any Ice Glyph, is still pointing at one of the Ice Glyphs if you follow that line’s general direction, combined with the fact that Fire Glyph is not in the center of its own circle but rather on the side of its own circle which probably helped prevent the Fire Glyph from having too much of an all-encompassing factor in the power of the Glyph combo, probably helped the Fire Glyph have a more direct connection to the Ice Glyphs thus melting their ice into water. Also, I think that the fact that the circle the Fire Glyph is on has a couple lines that directly connect that circle to 2 of the Ice Glyphs probably helps with that too.
As for where exactly on the circle with the 3 Ice Glyphs I think the Plant Glyph should go, I think it should go on the bottom left bit of that circle. After all, all 3 lines that connect either the Fire Glyph or the center circle that the Fire Glyph is on the side of point more towards a counterclockwise direction than a clockwise direction as they were connecting to the circle with the 3 Ice Glyphs and, since a circle can only ever go in a clockwise direction or counterclockwise direction, this all means that the circle is going in a counterclockwise order when it comes to what order that the Fire Glyph is interacting with each Glyph on the circle. The line that directly connects the Fire Glyph itself to the circle with the 3 Ice Glyphs is pointing in the general direction of the bottom right Ice Glyph and that Fire Glyph is on the side of a circle which probably causes at least some of the Fire Glyph’s power (but not all of it since it is on the side of the circle rather than the center of it) to spread out into that circle the Fire Glyph is on and that same circle has lines attached to its other side that connect it directly to the 2 Ice Glyphs in the top right and top left positions of the circle with the 3 Ice Glyphs. That probably means that the power of the Fire Glyph reacts to the bottom right Ice Glyph first since the Fire Glyph is directly attached to a line that points in the general direction of the bottom right Ice Glyph thus meaning that almost 100% of the Fire Glyph’s power is being concentrated into that general direction with the circle pointing it more specifically into the direction of the bottom right Ice Glyph thus causing the power of the Fire Glyph to interact with the bottom right Ice Glyph first. The power of the Fire Glyph probably interacts with the 2 Ice Glyphs in the top right and top left positions next since the circle that the Fire Glyph is on is attached to lines that connect directly to those 2 Ice Glyphs thus causing at least some of the Fire Glyph’s power to flow into those 2 Ice Glyphs thus causing the power of the Fire Glyph to interact with those 2 Ice Glyphs next. All those steps between the Fire Glyph and those 3 Ice Glyphs would probably still cause a chain reaction that would produce water given that fire can melt ice into water. And, with the Plant Glyph being the last in this counterclockwise order since it has no lines from the Fire Glyph directly attached to it or pointing in its general direction, that would trigger magic that causes growth on people and things since water causes plants to grow. And, while, as shown in the episode ‘Hunting Palismen’, having a Fire Glyph and an equally sized Ice Glyph working together produces mist instead of water which means that the heat interacted with the ice to a further extent than melting it into water to the point that it melted into a type of air, I think that this case would be different since there are 3 Ice Glyphs against the 1 Fire Glyph and also because each 1 of the 3 Ice Glyphs are a little bit bigger than the Fire Glyph and, as shown in the episode ‘The Intruder’, the quantity of a Glyph’s power depends on the size of the Glyph.
The alteration I have in mind for Luz Noceda’s Safety Hover Glyph combo is moving the Fire Glyph from the bottom left bit of the circle it is attached to to the mid left bit of the circle, moving the Ice Glyph from the top right position to the mid right position and making both the Fire Glyph and the Ice Glyph bigger and making the circle they are on wider to make sure those 2 newly enlarged Glyphs don’t interfere too much with the Light Glyph. I think that the way the Safety Hover Glyph combo works is by using the Ice Glyph and the Fire Glyph to harden the light of the Light Glyph just enough to catch a person or thing before that person or thing falls onto the ground since, as shown in episode ‘Hunting Palismen’, a Fire Glyph and an Ice Glyph connected on the same circle makes a mist which is a type of air and, as I was taught in school many years ago, even air has weight which inspired me to believe that air is harder than light which was confirmed by some research I did online and some more research I did online afterwards revealed to me that it’s because air has density whereas light does not and that probably means that the light aspect could be hardened by the mist aspect by the Glyph magic. And, since the Light Glyph is in the exact center, I think that it gives the Fire Glyph/Ice Glyph component at least some of the energy of its light which, in turn, helps the Fire Glyph/Ice Glyph component harden the light from the Light Glyph. However, the Safety Hover Glyph combo has a couple weaknesses that I think the changes I made would correct. As shown in the episode ‘Reaching Out’, the Safety Hover Glyph combo only works when the person or thing is falling down considering that a glowing energy surrounded the object just before Luz threw that object and the hovering power only lasts a second before wearing off. I think the reason why the Safety Hover Glyph combo only works when the person or thing is falling down is because of the positions the Fire Glyph and the Ice Glyph are in. After all, the Ice Glyph is in the top right position which is in the upper half of the circle but not quite at the absolute top which probably represents the person or thing starting to fall while still being above the ground and the Fire Glyph is in the bottom left position which is in the lower half of the circle but not quite at the absolute bottom which probably represents the person or thing being about to hit the ground but hasn’t quite hit the ground yet. But, with the Fire Glyph in the mid left position and the Ice Glyph being in the mid right position, it would not have that requirement anymore since, as shown in the episode ‘Hunting Palismen’, the Fire Glyph and the Ice Glyph in the Mist Glyph combo were in those same positions and the resulting mist was spreading out without any requirement for any external objects to fall down. I think that enlarging the Fire Glyph and the Ice Glyph would correct the weakness the Safety Hover Glyph combo has of wearing off in a second. After all, I think the reason why the Safety Hover Glyph combo wears off in a second is because the Fire and the Ice Glyph are too small to harden the light into energy enough to sustain the hovering. I’m gonna call this newly altered Glyph combo the Hover Glyph combo which I know is a more simplified version of the Safety Hover Glyph combo name but I think it fits since the Hover Glyph combo has more of a general effect than the Safety Hover Glyoh combo.
The alteration I have in mind for Philip Wittebane’s Monster Hand Glyph combo is having the Plant Glyphs swap places and sizes with the Fire Glyphs. With that, there is now 1 Plant Glyph at each end of the C shape instead of 1 Fire Glyph at each end of the C shape and 1 Fire Glyph connected to the circle that wraps around the C shape and 1 Fire Glyph connected to the circle that is inside the C shape. I think this will cause the resulting Glyph combo to create a hand that evolves and adapts to whatever obstacle is in its way. After all, plants can regrow which probably means that the fire of the Fire Glyphs will burn the plants of the Plant Glyphs but then the plants of the Plant Glyphs will regrow and try to resist the Fire Glyphs. But, just like how heat can be used to help forge a sword, the fire of the Fire Glyphs also helps forge the plants of the Plants Glyphs and thus their strength along with it and this, combined with the plants’ ability to regrow, will probably give the power to evolve and adapt to whatever obstacle that tries to stop it since strength combined with regrowth could mean adaptation since strength is about persevering and regrowth is about recovering. Also, since, as shown in the episode ‘Them’s The Breaks, Kid’, the Monster Hand Glyph combo had a C shape on it. And I think that is what caused it to create a hand since a C shape is as close as a 1-dimensional line can get to a hand shape as Lego minifigures demonstrate. So, having a C shape will probably cause this newly altered Glyph combo to make a hand too. Also, the reason why I think having the Fire Glyphs and Plant Glyphs swapped would make an adaptive and evolving hand is because, since, in that swapped state, the 2 Fire Glyphs are on circles with one of those circles wrapping around the C shape that the Plant Glyphs are now attached to and the other circle being inside that C shape, that probably means that the destructive power of the fire completely surrounds and engulfs the power of the Plant Glyphs but the Plant Glyphs, for the same reason I described earlier in this paragraph, adapt to the destructive power of the fire thus giving the plants the power to adapt to destructive power. I’m calling this Glyph combo the Evolutionary Hand Glyph combo.
The alteration I have in mind for Philip Wittebane’s Teleportation Glyph combo is replacing the Fire Glyph in the center with a Plant Glyph. I think that this would make an Enchantment Glyph combo that gives great magical power to whoever or whatever it is used on. Now, to explain why, I will have to explain how I think the entire Teleportation Glyph works as well as how replacing the Fire Glyph in the center with a tiny Plant Glyph changes things. This is gonna get quite complex.
I think that one of the reasons why, as shown in the episode ‘Elsewhere And Elsewhen’, the only satellite circle that is attached to all 3 circles that wrap around the Glyph in the center of the Teleportation Glyph combo has a Fire Glyph in its own center with 3 Plant Glyphs and 1 Ice Glyph around it is because it directly represents the person or thing that is being teleported. The Fire Glyph in its center probably represents the energy of the person or thing since, as real life science has established, all physical matter has energy like potential energy and kinetic energy for example and fire emits energy in the form of heat. And I think that the 3 Plant Glyphs and the 1 Ice Glyph probably alter the power of the Fire Glyph to the point that it allows it to accommodate the physical aspects of the person or thing since plants and ice are both forms of physical matter themselves. Also, I think that the 3 Plant Glyphs, with some help from the 1 Ice Glyph, helps the energy from the Fire Glyph accommodate the distinct properties of the person or thing since different plants have different properties like how trees are partly made of wood while flowers are not just low different matter has different properties. And I think that the 1 Ice Glyph helps it accommodate the shape of the person or thing since ice can take on different shapes depending on what is frozen like how the ice on a frozen football can be shaped like a football and the ice on a frozen soda can can be shaped like a soda can. Also, I think that, in the case of being a component for the Enchantment Glyph combo, this component might cause the magic powers given to a person or thing by the Enchantment Glyph combo to be based on the person or thing in some way just like how this component is based on the person or thing since it accommodates their properties.
As for the satellite circle with the 1 small Plant Glyph and 1 small Fire Glyph in the center with 3 Glyphs consisting of 1 large Fire Glyph, 1 medium Plant Glyph and 1 medium Ice Glyph around them, I think that it represents the transference aspect of the Teleportation Glyph combo since I believe that what it does on its own is energy transference. I think that the small Fire Glyph and the small Plant Glyph, at least while working in conjunction with the other 3 Glyphs, represent the energy which resides within a person or thing with the Fire Glyph representing the energy aspect since fire emits energy in the form of heat and the Plant Glyph representing the person/thing aspect since people and things contain energy like potential energy and kinetic energy just like how plants contain energy from sunlight. And the large Fire Glyph, the medium Plant Glyph and medium Ice Glyph helps the 2 small Glyphs represent the transfer to the other person or thing. I think that the large Fire Glyph is the biggest of the 3 Glyphs since it helps the 2 small Glyphs represent the energy of the person or thing by allowing it to grab the energy within the first person or thing thus allowing the small Fire Glyph and the small Plant Glyph to interact with said energy since Fire emits energy in the form of heat. The medium Plant Glyph is probably what starts moving the energy from the first person or thing to the second person or thing since tree branches can lead to and reach the tree next to it like how the first person or thing would be being led to the second person or thing. And the Plant Glyph is probably what allows the energy from the first person or thing to accommodate some of the different properties of the second person or thing since, as I pointed out before, different plants can have different properties like how a tree is partly made of wood while a flower is not. As for the Ice Glyph, I think that it allows the second person or thing to contain the energy from the first person or thing since being frozen is being contained. In the case of being a component for the Enchantment Glyph combo, I think that this component would represent the transfer of magic energy to the person or thing from wherever magic originates from. I’ll be sure to elaborate on that last part later.
As for the satellite circle with a Fire Glyph and a Plant Glyph on the other end, I think that it helps with the teleportation process of being disassembled at Point A and then reassembled at Point B. After all, fire is about burning things down and thus disassembling them and plants are about regrowing and thus reassembling. But, in the case of the Enchantment Glyph combo, I think that this satellite circle represents something slightly different. Fire can represent energy since Fire emits energy in the form of heat and plants can represent absorbing the magic energy thus leading to an empowering effect since plants absorb energy from sunlight and get stronger from it. And, in the case of the Enchantment Glyph combo, this represents the person or thing taking the magic energy in and getting empowered by it.
As for the second ring surrounding the Glyph in the center of the Teleportation Glyph combo, I think that it represents the aspect of the teleportation process that is about being disassembled from Point A before being reassembled at Point B. After all, its biggest Glyph is a Fire Glyph and Fire is about burning things down and thus disassembling them. The Glyph just counterclockwise of the large Fire Glyph is a tiny Plant Glyph and there is a small Ice Glyph just clockwise of the large Fire Glyph. I think the reason for that Plant Glyph and that Ice Glyph being in those 2 respective positions is to adapt the destructive power of the Fire Glyph more thoroughly to the properties and shape of the person or thing thus giving the literal firepower more fundamental leverage in destroying and thus disassembling the person or thing. After all, as I pointed out earlier, Plant Glyphs can represent the distinct properties of a person or thing since different plants can have different properties like how a tree is partly made of wood while a flower is not and Ice Glyphs can represent the shape of a person or thing since ice can take on different shapes depending on what is frozen like how the ice on a frozen football can be shaped like football and the ice on a frozen soda can can be shaped like a soda can. Also, the Plant Glyph seems to be a bit smaller than the Ice Glyph and I think the reason for that is because it’s slightly less necessary for the large Fire Glyph to overwhelm the power of the Ice Glyph since the person’s or thing’s properties are slightly more fundamental than their shapes since the properties are the base material since the properties would also represent everything the person or thing is made of while the shapes are how the base material is carved. I think both the Fire Glyph counterclockwise of the Plant Glyph and the Fire Glyph clockwise of the Ice Glyph are to further boost the destructiveness of the power. When it comes to the other 3 Glyphs in this second ring that wraps around the Fire Glyph in the center of the Teleportation Glyph combo with those 3 Glyphs consisting of 2 Plant Glyphs and 1 Ice Glyph, I think that they further give the power of the destructive power further fundamental leverage in destroying the person or thing by further adapting the destructive power to the properties and shape of the person or thing since Plant Glyphs can represent the properties of a person or thing since different plants can have different properties like how a tree is partly made of wood while a flower is not and the Ice Glyph can represent the shape of a person or thing since ice can take different shapes depending on what is frozen like how the ice on a frozen football can be shaped like a football and the ice on a frozen soda can can be shaped like a soda can.
As for the third ring that surrounds the Glyph in the center of the Teleportation Glyph combo, I think that it represents preserving the person’s or thing’s essence despite that person or thing being disassembled from Point A and not yet appearing at Point B since the third ring’s biggest Glyph is a Plant Glyph and plants are about preservation since a plant can be regrown after being cut down. There is a medium Fire Glyph clockwise of the large Plant Glyph and another medium Fire Glyph counterclockwise of the large Plant Glyph. I think the reason for that is because it represents the preservation power of the Plant Glyph staying active and strong despite the might of destructive power of the disassembly aspect of the teleportation like how underground roots survive a forest fire. Also, further counterclockwise of the large Plant Glyph is a Fire Glyph slightly less large than the large Plant Glyph and further clockwise of the large Plant Glyph is a tiny Plant Glyph. I think this represents the preservation power still being strong despite being reduced by the destructive power since the tiny Plant is so much smaller than the large Fire Glyph that is in the third ring. And, just clockwise of the tiny Plant Glyph is a tiny Fire Glyph and a medium Plant Glyph. I think this represents the preservation regaining its strength despite being reduced by the destruction since the medium Plant Glyph is larger than the tiny Fire Glyph. As for the Ice Glyph just clockwise of the medium Plant Glyph, I think it represents the person or thing sustaining their solidity despite being pitted against destructive power when it comes to the third ring alone and, when in conjunction with the rest of the Teleportation Glyph combo too, it also helps represent the person or thing still being preserved despite having been destroyed like how a block of ice, when destroyed by intense heat, is still technically around albeit in the form of water.
And, in the window in between being disassembled from Point A and being reassembled at Point B, the person or thing is essentially nowhere in the cosmos since they have basically been annihilated from Point A and, at least for a moment, has yet to appear at Point B. And being nowhere in the cosmos while still being preserved in terms of essence would, at least in a sense, be transcending the cosmos to at least some extent since the person or thing, for a moment, is not tethered to the cosmos and yet the essence of that person or thing is still being preserved. And I think this is also relevant in the context of the Enchantment Glyph combo since, given that magic goes beyond the laws of physics that determine how the cosmos itself works, magic also transcends the cosmos. That probably means that magic itself originates from beyond the cosmos. So, with the person or thing and the magic more or less on the same level, it grants an opportunity for them to interact.
I think that the reason why a Fire Glyph is in the center of the Teleportation Glyph combo is because a fire’s shape is like a surface with spikes with one of those spikes representing Point A, another of those spikes representing Point B and the surface representing the teleportation route between Point A and Point B. But, here, the Fire Glyph is replaced by a Plant Glyph. Since plants can absorb energy from sunlight, this Plant Glyph’s purpose is to absorb some of the magic energy and, since plants can be regrown after being cut down, this Plant Glyph causes the person or thing to return to the physical cosmos despite having been disassembled from the aforementioned Point A. This is also because plants are made of physical matter too.
Well, that’s all for this post.
See you all next time.
