He was so lonely he put all his love into a contact lens case. Just finished volume 1 for the umpteenth time. It still makes me tear up. This guy is so alone and wanting to reach out. I think his emotions at that time were all over the place like any teenager. His love and loneliness were overwhelming forcing him to pretend and make light of his life. Through it all he hides his vulnerable side, finally breaking down under it all. He was a 17 year old with no family or future but holding on to an unrequited love. Even with his sexual promiscuity he was hiding his hopeless feelings of being twisted beyond repair. It's heartbreaking but it puts the man's life into prospective. Have to take a break before volume 2.
Okay we have the kiss we have all waited for. The next step, will these two have another conversation? If so what will Yashiro's first words be when they pull apart? Will he call him an idiot? That has been his pet name for him from the beginning. Will he be shy or aggressive with his very new old love. Volume 10 has ended the timeskip is 4 volumes in.
Volume 7 began with their new lives. Yashiro suffering alone with dreams of Doumeki that shook him out of his sleep. Doumeki suffering through it all and trying to become a man Yashiro would respect. Volume 7 ended in the shower with sexual tension carried over after 4 years, which carried over to vol. 8 which gave us Yashiro's need to be kissed by Doumeki. Volume 8 ended with Doumeki dragging Yashiro away from Kito. Volume 9 began with them having sex after 4 years, and ended with Yashiro contemplating love.
Volume 10 we made it begins with Yakuza business and Doumeki visiting Yashiro for sex on the regular. Doumeki protecting Yashiro and getting shot and loosing his place in his group. So now we are finally here the end of volume 10. Doumeki in dire straits and Yashiro finally coming to his senses. Will I be able to survive this hiatus? It will be hard, so I'll start reading from the beginning once more and feeling it all again.
This is not a in the heat of the moment kiss. This is a kiss that says I love and recognize your love. Taking Doumeki's bruised and battered face gently in his hands. This is so important to this relationship, the recognition. Yashiro now realizes not showing his love has caused the things he didn't want to happen. There will be no turning back.
