Although I’ve been doing this and that I always want to keep on playing and experimenting. I thought about creating a mini series of Makeup Muses - taking inspiration from women or characters I love and seeing where it takes me. My first muse is Sade - she’s the epitome of cool glamour and of course, all about a red lip. When I started prepping for this, I learned that I’d assumed (incorrectly) a few things about eighties makeup - firstly, that it was super matte - it wasn’t! I kinda feel like these pix are more Sade x Alfred Hitchcock, and I’m not going to complain about that 💁🏽I just couldn’t decide on how cool/warm the final edit should be.
